To show my excitement about this new product, I have already ordered myself one just to feature in my next Runescape vlog. Keep posted for when that surfaces because I shall be sure to represent NG through all of the fan store merchandise I've collected over the past few years thanks to our friends at CafePress.com.

I don't see anybody buying this and showing it off; Atleast I hope not.

Is this not breaching copyright? Seeing as all of the images in the calendar are from the RuneScape website. Surely you would need permission from Jagex?
And why does the calendar consist of images that are of little to no relevance to the NGoR?

Yeah I know, but worth a shot.

After all, I have the only Runescape clock comprised entirely of not only our website URL in the center, but 12 pixel characters of our top 12 leaders from 2006 listed around the clock for the various hours.

CafePress is funny because for the first few days after design, it automatically allows ANYONE to purchase the item. After that, they ban the images, and I have to start over from scratch uploading new images to set the item back up again on their online store/page.

Oh well, guess I'm the only one in the world with one -- more YouTube publicity for me when showing off all my Runescape gear. :P

I've spent all today working on new images for the calendar, and I've collected quite a few fan submissions that weren't made by JaGeX to edit and arrange in to fit for the 12 months. There's a few community members featured in the calendar, along with some well-known events, quests and armor you may recognize if you are active in Runescape.

Enjoy!

For those who say they love this stuff, have you actually purchased any of it?

On my next pay check (Tuesday) I am SO buying that hoodie!

Not only is it kick ass with the fan art of Runescape on the back, but it actually makes the game look good (for once). And did I mention it has the website URL and name on it, plus the age old joke t-shirt we had since 2006 ("I like hardcore... gaming.").

Feedback on this item addition? That's what helps me know if I am doing a good job or not on new items for the group, or if I should change the design to attract a new crowd of game players.

DragonSpeak6: They don't actually purchase it. They just appreciate my entire day last night spent finding and editing fan artwork with our website URL some place on each month of the calendar.

It's the thought that counts, really. I don't make a profit from it, the price is set to the minimum CafePress requires for them to make their dues for printing and shipping it to someone. I only profit from advertisement and recruitment.

Plus it is free advertisement for which ever game we are currently in. So all good there.

We formed a fan store in 2006, a couple years before JaGeX took our idea. Same with the idea they stole from us about allowing YouTube and Google mention on game to promote clan/fan/help sites. Also the part about hosting drop parties at the Falador Mansion since 2004 (which is now Party Petes since 2006).

I wonder what else JaGeX will learn from us in the future. But I do seriously hope they don't keep messing with the filter rules. First they unfiltered "ass" so we followed suit. And then they started saying these unfiltered words such as "ass" and "cracker" are offenses and began muting players since this year. Seriously need a staff and unpaid moderators of one mind, and one rule page. :P

As for the fan store updates of 2010, thanks for the feedback. Fyi Koalao_Bill also likes the calendar. ;)
