Well I was gonna save this wee announcement until my daughter was out of the danger period (pre 12 weeks), but it's a bit hard not to be impressed when seeing images of a peanut with an obvious heartbeat.
Yes this ol' broad is finally gonna be a grandmaw. My daughter is 7 weeks pregnant so we still got a nervous wait til the magical 3 month period, but yeah, there you go. I went with her to her first ultrasound today. This was so we could work out when the baby will be born approximately. Don't have pictures to post yet, not that you can make out much anyway. The poor radiographer was having a real hard time trying to get a clear picture as it was. To give you some idea of the size of the embryo, it is 1cm long (2/5 of an inch). That's about the size of one of our five cent pieces or $2 coins (AUD).
When she goes for the ultrasound at 20 weeks will try to post some 3d images (I've been told they're pretty awesome), where it will look more human & less like E.T.
2264 levels. Still no 99's (but getting closer)

Congratulations Dinah,

That's great to hear, and I can't wait to see the little peanut after it's grown up some.

Lol "E.T." yeah them ultrasounds always reminds me of aliens of what we look like before taking on real form as we look later in life.

I was there with my ex from when she was about 3 months pregnant, ending before his 5th birthday. He was born a week after my birthday and 2 days before my father's birthday. So it always brings back old memories of when I was in his life, before everything fell to **** when it comes around that time of year.

Not to get you down or nothing, just reminiscing a tad. I'm glad you reached grand-motherhood. :Woot: Looking forward to them pics.
