If there is any flaming going on in this thread, offenders will be dealt with severely, and post will be deleted. Dominion, I know you try your hardest and your trying to beat RuneHQ, and other fan sites. But you need to know a few things. Zybez is actually the #1 fansite, next to RuneHQ. I think you need to set your standards a bit lower, then raise the bar, little by little after every accomplishments. Like our users for example... Theres three main groups. The old school, The clan chat/randoms and the inactive. We mainly have 30-40 active people at the most. Like our 800 or so members we claim we have never post, or probably have forgotten about us. We can't really say that we have all those members if they dont contribute a single thing to NGoR, not even 1 post. Posting isn't hard (look at the almost 4k post count o.O)... Trying to beat RuneHQ right off the bat is wrong. They have such a mass of people its not funny. I wouldn't be surprised is RuneHQ made $7,000 a month off adds alone on their website. They have the bulk users. Like a lot of our guides information seems like it's copied off of other fan sites. I have to give you credit though, you construction guide is the ****ing ****. It rocks. It's the best construction guide in the world, imo. I may add more later, when it comes to my mind better. Also, this is off topic... I think clan chat has brought a lot of unnecessary drama, and flaming to the forums. Like it seems there is always a problem with someone from clan chat, and it's always brought into forums. This isn't a battleground for flaming. I also think a lot of them aren't reading our forum rules well. Like for example, someone comes into the forums, who has a rank on clan chat. They have a smug attitude about it, and decide they know clan chat rules, why would they have to read forum rules. So they come onto forums, and have an over large signature, post with 10 different colors in their posts, use the grammar of a 6 year old (My grammar isn't all the best, but at least you understand it), and they flame. I think they need to be reminded to read the forum rules, and maybe just lay back and learn how the forums are ran and operated. Like as Holy once said, Clan Chat has nothing to do with forums, and if they start causing problems again, he will get clan chat removed, or just leave. I probably would leave to. This isn't targeting anyone in specific, and nor should this be a flame, or be flamed back. This is just a simple reply to Dominion. Also, on another note. Dominion, when are you getting SSB Brawl? We need an online tourney with you

Not sure about online with Super Smash Brothers Brawl -- but it is one of the games down at the LAN center. As for the construction guide. Did you mean the actual guide, or the chart of all objects? That one was a pain in my butt to complete. Also, Tip.It died out back in like 2005, and was started back up again. But the world only knows Zybez and RuneHQ. Yet WE are the group that runs world 9 and 14, since 2003. New users to our servers fail to recognize us for such work and long-suffering of putting up with all of the bull **** JaGeX gives users daily. As for clan chat. Upon entering the forums, there is the link to forum rules, and the link to enter. Failure to read is not our concern. Rule enforcement is. So, suspend as necessary. Ban if that fails. And all should be copesetic. As voted upon in the early days, chat (game or IRC) should not be run by those not part of it (forum, site). The separation of church and state is just as much the way of forum and game. Though, when the game is involved, sometimes we tend to find a few of the unworthy joining our ranks. But the point remains. Uncalled-for offense results in instant punishment. Be it suspend or ban, the general idea is there. If you offend, you shall be dealt with. And if you attempt to report others for the similar offense, you and your reported shall be dealt with. We are not here to babysit children. We are here to unite mature gamers. The immature need not apply. Topics and Offenses If users make topics with intent to break rules, close the topic, move it to Abuse Records. If users respond with intent to break rules, split the offensive response from the good topic, and move that response into Abuse Records. There is no need for a good topic to be ruined, thanks to the incompetence of a handful of misfits. And also to remove the ability for future visitors to not enjoy posting a response to old topics, to share their personal enjoyment or remenesence of the old ways of the game/group. With that out of the way. There shouldn't be a problem with people posting ill responses to this article, knowing they will be dealt with accordingly. Be it suspension if minor, or ban if severe. Just always know, retaliation is not the key, and only puts you at fault. |

Yea, Try going to a Gamestop and get brawl. >_<. But, I think the mature part is true, but theres a lack of maturity in this community. I think its the age difference. Like we have 50 year olds, and 10 year olds. Like I'm 15, I really have no interest in what the 50 year olds have to say, and what the 10 year olds have to say. To me, its all bs. Like it's hard to find a certain point of maturity with the huge age difference. I'm sure the 50 year olds don't care what the 15 year olds have to say, and what the 10 year olds have to. And so on. It's just natural, it's how life is. I find NGoR's age has really diversified, as clan chat has been introduced, and the interests have collided with the users who have always been here (Which are about 13-20 years old average?). |
