A long time a go in a very familiar internet there was a game called Runescape. One day the "kind" folks at JaGex decided to add a new random event to a very popular skill (why it is so popular, nobody knows as it is so mind-numbingly boring I nearly bashed my head through my computer screen once). This particular skill was called woodcutting. It involved taking a hatchet and hacking away at a tree for a while. Due to the skills "popularity" if you were anything above the meek levels of 20-30 chances are the trees were very crowded and you would have to share, making you probably lose your hard earned wood to some autoing noob. This random event featured a nest falling out of the tree you are cutting down. And being the heartless ******* you are, you would pick it up and take the poor unhatched egg away from it's mother forever. The only useful things people ever got from this was maybe the occasional ring or gem from the nest (seriously WTF is a ring doing in a birds nest?) and the nest itself which would be ground up and used in a single rarely made potion. The eggs would just accumulate in your bank and take up space. Why throw them out when they could be important to a future update? Well now people are realizing that it may be used in the summoning skill, due to the fact that Jagex may have announced it or because they did a half-*** job when it came to making the building with the incubator to hatch these things. So finally after more then a year of holding onto these eggs we will finally be able to use them. Now the question is, were they actually making summoning when they released the eggs? If they were how could it take so long? If not then why didn't they just leave the **** things out?

tl:dr
WTF so it has already been more then a year since birds nests+eggs were first released and now they are expected to be used in a skill that has not even come out yet!

P.S. Oh my bad for all the censors in there, sorry

I'm sorry, what is the point here again?? :P

Something about bird's eggs......Oh, yeah, I have like 25 of em taking up 3 slots in my bank. Hope all this time of taking up that precious bank space is gonna be worth it!
.....oh my goodness....I've lost my siggy pics! I shall have to do something about that another time.....

Blind Guy: Yes, they have been working on summoning for over a year now. I remember reading about it in one of the development diaries about summoning.

See my main problem with it is that now that Jagex says Summoning will use eggs more and more people are woodcutting making most tree crowded.

Then they should just make them more common!!!

And if chances are the same for all trees, I would just take a random normal tree or something like that instead of a special one. Spawns faster.

Check the wallpapers they have for summoning, one has a bunch of different eggs, and next to each, a similar looking monster thing.
