Random Events; Make sure you know your enemy...

NGoR Elder Posts: 2,454 Group: Honored Member (2+) Member #470 Joined: 22-Mar 2005	Yes I made a Easy way to get random events thing but people didn't care and said there is no way to increase your chances oh well, some believe some don't. So this is just a list of the Random Events and ways to get them. (the ways are most common, so when people did that, they got it more often) The Mysterous Old Man- He just appears whenever he wants, I got 3 just from walking around not even talking. There are multiple things he can give you and do for you. First is the Strange Box. This is easy, just answer it be careful though, if you don't answer it correctly it duplicates, if you try to bank it or drop it, it duplicates and if you just aren't answering it, it duplicates. If you want the prize or don't want the prize you have to answer all the strange boxes. He can reward you with gems and money. The second thing he can do for you is a Maze. This is a rare event. There are chests that you can open to get stuff but they aren't really good. You want to get in the middle and as you are going through the maze or just standing there, your reward percentage goes down. Most people including myself, get this random event by having a full inventory or a packed one. There is many rewards when you complete this. It's better if you have more reward percentage. Mime is the 3rd thing he can do for you. He teleports you to the mime and you have to copy the mime in the right way to get a reward. There is 8 rewards, Mime Gloves, Mime Mask, Mime Boots, Mime Shirt and 4 emotes. So, you need to get a mime 8 times to get them all. Easy way to get this, fight high leveled monsters. Level 60 and up are good Quiz Master is the 4th thing you can get from the guy. Answer all the questions right, it's that simple! And you then get to choose 1000 GP or a mysterous box. And the last thing he can do is this... Just give you something lol. Dr. Jekyll- He asks for a Herb, you give him it he gives you a potion, you can't give him a herb he gives you a str * (2), you ignore him, you have to fight Dr. Hyde, he's the same level as your Shade, River troll, and all that stuff. Rick Turpentine- Just answer him and he gives you some loot. You ignore him he steals your money, if you have any, and attacks you, even if you don't have money. Strange Plant- Just pick it when it's done growing. It gives you 30% of run energy back once you eat it. Dr. Ford- Appears when you are doing something like woodcutting or mining. He puts his fingers in a formation and makes it go all around, you have to choose the right formation and he gives you a fruit. You can get a lemon, a orange, a pineapple, some lime chucks, a strange fruit or a banana. Genie- Talk to him and you get a genie lamp which gives you xp in any stat you want, unless you a mem and don't have membership. Whatever your stat that you want to train it takes it's lvl and times it (x) by that number. Ex: Level 1, 10 xp, Level 10, 100 xp, Level 50, 500 xp, etc. Lost and Found Office- Some times when you teleport, you go here and you need to pull the lever that's different from the other and you get out with some air and law runes. Swarm- Just run, they can't be killed, there is nothing you can do. Magic doesn't work anymore either. You get nothing from this event. Drunken Dwarf- Answer the Drunken Dwarf, you get kebab and a beer. Ignore him and he attacks you with pebbles and you can't do anything back. Frog- Mostly given to you from fishing. Kiss the princess or prince frog, depending on your gender in the game, and get a frog token, which you give to the varrock clothes shop lady to either get a frog hat or a prince or princess suit. Evil Chicken- Just pops out of nowhere and attacks you with magic. His combat is a little more or some times less than the combat of other attacking random events. You get stuff from a regular chicken but you also get more feathers. Evil Bob- Comes out mostly when fishing and teleports you to an island which you have to do stuff to get off of. Here's what you do, get a fishing net, talk to the lady servent, fish a cooked fish, use it with bob, use the uncooker on it, use on bob, keep doing it, he gets sleepy, and then leave the place. You get fishing or magic xp. Mining Events Section Rock Golem- You have to fight it or run or teleport away. You get some stuff like ores. You can get a Rune Pickaxe or a Rune Ore Even! But those are really really really, I mean really, rare. Gas Explosion- Don't mine it, it ruins your pick and damages you. You can tell when gas is coming out of the rock. Broken Pick- Sometimes it comes off from mining, just pick it up and put it back on. Prayer Events Section- Shade- They appear when you are burying bones and you have to fight them, if you want that is. They can drop Shade robe top and bottom, bones, or fishing bait. Sometimes nothing though. Zombie- They also appear from burying bones. Same as Shade, you can fight them. They can drop a lot of things. Thieving Events Section- Pillory- Sometimes when thieving you get caught and go here where players get to throw stuff at you. You have to get out by using the proper key on the locks. Poison Gas- Sometimes when picklocking chests. Use an antipoison to make it go away, so run to the bank if you don't have any antipoison then store your stuff and die. Watchman- You have to fight him like the shades, zombies and all those guys. He drops a lot of stuff, mostly runes. Woodcutting Events Section- Ent- The tree came alive, what can you do about it? Nothing. If you chop it your Axe because chipped and you have to go to Bob in Lumbridge to fix it. Broken Axe- Like the broken pickaxe, the head flys off, just pick it up and put it back on. Tree Spirit- It's another monster to fight. Drops mostly axes and herbs. Fishing Events Section- Big Fish- Nothing you can do about it when it comes up for you, it takes your fishing item and spits it somewhere else near that area, just go and pick it up. Whirl Pool- Don't fish in this. Unlike the Big Fish, this random event takes it away and you'll have to get a new one. River Troll- Yep, you guessed it, another monster to fight, yippie. This guy drops mostly fish, hmm that figures don't you think? And the last random event... Capt' Arnav- He comes when you are farming for some odd reason. You have to figure out his treasure. If you get it right you get stuff that the Mysterous Old Man gives you, if you get it wrong, he teleports you somewhere random. Unregistered	yeh the random events don't seem so random any more, seems more like its away to make the game more interesting instead of stopping marco's....annoying as they are i've gotten 2 genies in the last 24hrs..
