Donated Items: Make a Donation to keep the holiday drops alive! Requirements for an :NGoRlogo: NGoR holiday drop (DP). ![]() -- The NGoR Mansion -- home of our holiday drop party! :NGoRlogo: What is a "drop party"?When a player drops an item, there is a delay of nearly 30 seconds prior to other players seeing it. We just use this to have a little fun, rather than just handing out item randomly. What should I bring? Many who hear the term "drop party" have the misconception everyone must bring items to get items. This is not so. We have a great team at the community who strive to offer all players with a "drop party" for many of the major holidays. All you are required to do is get free items and have fun. Why don't we celebrate EVERY holiday?I can't speak for the entire NGoR Staff, but I have a life outside of helping the community. It takes me about one month to gather the required items in order to announce a "drop party." All donations are welcomed, and assists us to reach our goal sooner. Why only a "drop party" for the free (F2P) worlds? The inspiration for the first "drop party" came from my desire to provide something for the less fortunate free world players. After the official announcement by JAGeX, "There will be no future 'holiday drop' items," the free (F2P) world was left with nothing much to celebrate. Later, the member (P2P) world was provided a place for "drop parties", at "Party Pete's." This was a low blow to the entire free world players, stating exactly where JAGeX stands on the view of non-members. "Free worlds don't deserve a 'drop party,' nor a 'holiday drop'." When will there be a "drop party" for us members (P2P)?When the donations are gathered, the "member-only" items are used for contests. As for a member (P2P) "drop party," the free (F2P) world is available to all players. Offering a limited-access event is not too likely in the near future. When will there be an NGoR-only "drop party"? Following the 2005 year, all further drops shall be restricted to NGoR-only, and a possible 5-clans-max awareness. This means, less lag, less new people who are not active at NGoR, and a whole heck of a lot more items per each person who attends! What is the yearly minimum requirement? Normally, the average drop consists of 4m gp minimum item value. There is a Drop Party every 3 months, (which just so happens to be titled according to the month's holiday), which means 16m gp minimal value per year. In simpler terms, we gather (at least) 112 Runite items, 800 Adamante Ores, 800 Mithril Ores, 2000 Iron Ores, 3600 Coal Ores, 2000 Cooked Swordfish, 11600 Cooked Lobsters.. and a total of 4m gold coins to pay the top recruiters! And this is either gathered by myself (alone), OR with the aid of the community members who donate to our DPs. |

Hmm. Well, I still love hosting it, because I can see how many players can cram into 1 room. I wonder if there is a limit where it will say "Room is too full." |
