Hey everyone I wanted to start a thread so we can all discuss a date for our draft in one place. The actual draft starts tomorrow, and our drafts typically start right around the beginning of July. Do we want to wait that long or do we want to get the ball rolling on this sooner? |

I'd rather do it sometime in the week after the draft, since the wife is gone to Newfoundland or the week with the baby, so I could actually get the time to properly pay attention to it, and also avoid the friction of me drafting with the new baby around. : P |

I wouldn't mind getting it started as early as Monday. However it may take a little longer then that to round everyone up. |

cant we just start it monday, and not have anyone otc until next weekend? that way we can get some picks in...i'm sure the first few selections will be pretty easy to pick and wont take much time. |

I would be fine with Tuesday or anytime after that. Sorry I am traveling on Monday. Although I don't have a 1st rounder yet. Still working on a deal. Whatever the majority decides I am ok with. |

I'm not opposed to this idea as it lets us get started, and like you said the early picks should be a bit more clear-cut and we shouldn't have to worry too much about players getting auto-picked. Let's wait for some admin input on this, but if everyone is ok with this I say we go for it. No OTC picks until the weekend so people out of town shouldn't be affected too much. Buffalo and Pittsburgh haven't been on since June 17th, and obviously trotts is MIA. Everyone else has been logged in at some point either today or yesterday. Not that I have a first or second round pick, but OTC doesn't work for me next weekend. And it won't work for FlamesGM. Canada day weekend up here in the north and we are going away for the weekend. |

Ok well I'll go ahead and start the draft thread, and Calgary can start the draft whenever he wants. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes since I'm not an admin but it looks like we have a consensus on how to handle the draft, so no point in waiting around. |
