Codename:
Union Jack

Real Name:
Brian Falsworth

Nickname:
Jack Jr. (Warning: He hates it.), Bri, Jacky

Age:
90 (appears to be in his late twenties)

Gender:
Male

Race:
Enhanced Human

Appearance:
Brian stands 6' tall and weighs 235 lbs. With a strong chin and broad shoulders, he is both a handsome and imposing figure. His body has been honed through both hard work and the Super Soldier Formula variant into peak physical perfection. He usually keeps his brown hair fairly short. His facial hair, however, has a tendency to get shaggy due to other concerns.

Clothing:
Due to his noble family line and his own old fashioned ways, Brian prefers tailored suits to casual clothes in his everyday life. His favorite by far is a black wool/cashmere Armani suit with a cobalt blue silk tie.

The clothes he uses for training are far less refined. Typically, he prefers a simple pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt when training solo. When in a group, he either dons his Union Jack costume or a plain black variant.

His Union Jack costume is based off of his father's. The suit itself is dark blue, with a large Union Jack emblazoned on the front. A full hood covers his entire face, except for his eyes.

Weapons / Armor / Gear:
Union Jack carries a 6" steel dagger sheathed on his left hip. On his right, he carries a Webley .455 revolver. His costume is woven from Kevlar, making it bulletproof.

Skills / Education/ Training:
Brian is a skilled marksman, trained in the use of handguns and rifles by the British government as well as by his father. He is also an expert on the use of daggers. An expert hand-to-hand combatant, he is an expert at boxing, Savate, and wrestling. His training with the government included stealth, intelligence gathering, military tactics, infiltration, and field acrobatics. Finally, he is fluent in English, German, French, Russian and Italian.

Powers:
Super Soldier Serum variant: Due to his ingestion of a Super Soldier Serum variant, Union Jack has reached the peak of human perfection. His strength, agility, durability, stamina, reflexes, healing, speed and senses, while not superhuman, are at the absolute limit for a human. It has also retarded his aging. Currently, despite being in his 90s, he is still in his physical prime.

Electokinesis: Due to an encounter with Mjolnir, Union Jack has the ability to fire strong bursts of electricity from his hands. The range is limited to 50 feet unless extended by a conductor. He can control the voltage of his blasts, ranging from a small tingle to the equivalent of an overhead power line: 765,000 volts. Though less powerful than true lightning, they can kill a man at higher voltages.

Weakness:
Despite his enhancements, Union Jack is still a mortal man. Anything that can kill a normal human can kill him as well. Even with his ability to emit electricity, he has no protection against it. New technology is a bit beyond his grasp. He has no idea what a Facebook is, and it's only been a within the past year or so that he's stopped using a cell phone as a walkie-talkie. He still has a flip phone.

Personality:
Originally a pacifist and an isolationist, Brian's view has changed drastically due to the hardships he's endured. Formerly, he was immature and naïve. After being hardened by the war, he is serious and stern. Frivolity for frivolity's sake annoys him, as does anyone who can't take anything seriously. As someone who survived the war, he has no qualms in killing an enemy soldier if it means saving others. He finds no joy in it though and avoids it if at all possible.

Despite his almost ironclad emotional walls, Brian is a genuinely nice and friendly guy. If someone could get through those walls, they wouldn't find a more loyal friend. His humor leans towards the sarcastic side. The longer he's known you though, the less sharp his tongue is while using it.

History:
Brian Falsworth was born in 1923 to Lord and Lady Falsworth. He and his sister Jacqueline grew up in the countryside, enjoying the luxuries that nobility afforded. As he got older, he began clashing with his father, especially when the subject turned to politics. The final straw came at the beginning of World War II. Unbeknownst to Brian, his father had participated in the first World War under the guise of Union Jack and was as strongly opinionated as his son.

After a particularly bad fight, Brian left the country with his friend and lover Roger. The two traveled to Germany and became outspoken supporters of appeasement. They were even photographed taking a picture with Hitler himself. It didn't take long for them to begin to see the true evils the Nazis were capable of. The pair tried to flee Germany, but were taken captive instead.

Brian was jailed in Hamburg. His cellmate was a German scientist named Eric Schmitt. Schmitt had developed a variant of the Super Soldier Serum that had empowered Captain America and had hidden in in a flask on his person. He desperately gave the flask to Brian, begging him to keep the Nazis from acquiring it. The guards heard the commotion in the cell and fired, killing Schmitt. In desperation, Brian drank the serum and felt the effects immediately. He took down his captors and escaped using his increased abilities.

He donned a costume and took up the code name Destroyer and began fighting his way through Germany. His journey eventually lead him across the Invaders, reuniting him with his father and sister. With his father's legs crushed, he took over the name Union Jack. He continued his adventures with the group until the war ended, even acquiring the power to emit electricity from his hands after an altercation with Thor.

After the war's end, Brian continued to feel guilt over his delayed participation in stopping the Nazis. He enlisted with the British government and became part of their covert-op agencies. The focus he showed in that pursuit caused his personal relationships to suffer, distancing him from those he cared about. Recently, he was assigned to act as the liaison between the Avengers and M1-13 in order to help bridge the gap left behind after the dissolution of S.H.I.E.L.D.
