Codename:
Scarlet Witch

Real Name:
Wanda Maximoff

Nickname:
None

Age:
24

Gender:
Female

Race:
Mutant

Appearance:
Wanda has curly brown hair that goes down her back. She does not cut her hair much, which gives her hair a wild and free look. She has blue eyes.

The woman is at 5'7" weighing 132 lbs. Although she does not sport any muscle tone as many heroes do, Wanda is in great shape as it is needed due to her line of duty. Being 5'7" she is just slightly taller than the average woman.

Slightly taller than average at five foot seven Wanda is possessed of a slender build, though lacking in any real muscle mass can make her seem somewhat dainty. She generally favors form-fitting clothes, especially when it comes to shirts, but usually refuses to sacrifice comfort for looks.

Clothing:
Red is definitely Wanda's color. Although her clothing has changed from time to time she had always made sure to wear red and most of the time, her body being covered up with a form-fitting body suit. She is also known for the headband that she wears around her head, shaping into an M.

She usually goes with form-fitting clothing. This is not to show off her body to others, but only due to the fact that it's quite comfortable to wear.

Weapons / Armor / Gear:
None

Skills / Education/ Training:
Wanda was trained in hand to hand combat by Captain America and Hawkeye during her stay with the Avengers. She has also developed some leadership skills while being an Avenger as well. Although she may not be on the same level as Cap or Hawkeye for when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, Wanda has shown many times in the past to take care of herself.

Powers:
Please keep in mind that a lot has been left out of Wanda's power set to fit the New Dawn timeline without her being as powerful.

Wanda possesses a unique mutant power that allows her to alter probabilities though hex spheres. The hexes are short ranged, about 10 feet in distance. Her powers allow her to make impossible odds possible. The energy hex blasts could cause highly unlikely events to happen, in which could be very destructive.

If she wishes to disintegrate a door in her distance, she can have that happen. If someone like Cyclops fires his optic blast at her, she can her her hex direct that shot in an opposite direction and maybe even at an opponent of hers.

Furthermore, Wanda is able to create a "Chaos Shield", which created a forcefield around herself and her allies when needed. This also required full concentration from Wanda, or else her shield could fail completely.

Weakness:
Wanda does not have full control of her abilities. Her hex spheres could easily backfire and work against her. It is also important for her to keep in complete focus when using her hex spheres. If she is just a little bit distracted, then it is guarantees that her hex spheres either won't work, or they will definitely backfire and work against her.

This is one of the main reasons that Wanda worked well in a team that she trusts. If she is among friends who she knows will have her back, she is more likely to accomplish her hex attacks.

Wanda has once lived the life of being a villain when she was apart of the Brotherhood of Mutants. She felt she did not know better at the time and now makes sure to keep her emotions in check for her powers react to her current emotional state. She does not want to risk the chance of hurting any innocent people.

Personality:
Although Wanda could be a caring person, she comes off as distant to those around her besides her brother Pietro. This is not because she looks down upon everyone else, but just the mere fact that Pietro was the only family she feels that she has left, unlike how she feels of her father Magneto.

She is also a calm collected type of individual. She makes sure to keep herself level-headed and calm. This is mostly due to her powers itself. Her powers react to her emotions at times. So it's important to be rational, regardless of the situation she and the Avengers could be in.

History:
Wanda, along with her twin brother Pietro, raised by a gypsy couple ever since they were found as babies near their camp, not knowing who their parents were. Growing up, there was no money and at times the family had struggled to get food on their tables. Regardless, they remained a family and had the love between one another. Things would eventually change once their camp was atacked by a mod of a nearby village. Unknowingly, Wanda uses her powers for the first time in an attempt to protect herself, but instead causes a fire by accident, which kills her adoptive mother. Their father had done all he could to protect the twins during the attack, but was unsuccessful. Wanda and Pietro would flee the scene and would eventually learn to survive in a world on their own throughout Europe.

Once reaching adolesence, the twins both learned that they were mutants. Wanda would then learn that she could control probability using hex spheres, while her brother Pietro possessed superhuman speed. When they had used their powers in public, they were attacked by a large crowd of humans until they were saved by none other than Magneto. Thankful for him rescuing them, Wanda and Pietro would join the ranks of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants to return the favor, being the first incarnation of the faction. Being apart of the Brotherhood, they have battled the X-Men plenty of times in the past. Once Magneto had retreated to the Savage Land, both Wanda and Pietro both felt they paid their dues to Magneto and had left the Brotherhood.

Wanting to make up their their bad deeds as Brotherhood members, they had joined the newer incarnation of the Avengers. Since then, both Wanda and Pietro had become valuable members and also became apart of the core team. Although Wanda has been with the team on and off, she had continued to play the role of a hero, redeeming herself while training herself to get a better grip of her mutant powers.
