What a despicable performance by these lesbians tonight and we've still got 8 mintues left in the second quarter. These whores and the Yankees ruined my night.

After this putrid performance by Sanchez the Juets better start taking the ball out of his hands. If it wasn't obvious to the morons before that they can't win by relying on him it should be now. He sucks.

The offensive line minus mangold is a complete joke, the center position was an utter disaster tonight. Shonn Greene is just not the answer, this guy is not a starting running back. The QB has to protect the football, 3 fumbles and the pick 6, come on, what a joke he is. He's taken a huge step BACK so far this season. I understand he was pressured all night, but you have to protect the football. As bad as he and the team had played, they had a real chance after that fumble recovery to score and make that a one possession game, maybe even a FG game, and what does he do, first play; BAM, pick six. UNACCEPTABLE. The defense was better tonight than last week, but it didn't take much to improve on that performance, with that said they are still vastly overrated. Right now this is a 9 win team, something that I certainly didn't anticipate. The playoffs are a huge question mark right now and even if they get in, this team won't be going far unless a lot of things change.

Greene is a joke and don't even get me started on the o-line. Sometimes a decent line can make your mediocre QB and your mediocre running back at least look somewhat competent but when your line is awful too, that's a recipe for disaster this team won't do fecking shet this year, 8-8 at best.

Vin, I told you in the offseason the Jets weren't that good. It's hard to say a team had two fluke runs to the AFC title game, but this team had two fluke runs to the AFC title game. They pulled upsets against better teams both years. They aren't and have never been a top 4 team in the league. Not saying they aren't good, but this isn't a title contender. Not with the lack of a pass rush, mediocre pass blocking from the guards, a quarterback who, at least for now, is in the 17th-20th range, not much explosiveness on offense and, let's keep it 100, a defense that has choked it up in big spots several times. They've been a smoke and mirrors team. They're a 10-6 team. Not exact record, but I mean the kind of team they are. The 10-6s are the teams that can go 11-5 in a good year, kinda sneak themselves into the conversation of the elite, or undeachieve a little and go 9-7. They make the playoffs, and maybe win a round, and then their limitations catch up to them. That's been the Jets. And I give Rex credit for twice getting this team farther than it should've gone. Last year was your 11-5 season and this year, with a tough schedule (and one winnable game already wasted in Oakland), it could be the 9-7. I'll put them in the middle and give them the 10-6. I think the running game will improve and the defense will pick up a little and the Jets will get into the playoffs as the second wild card. And you'll have another onerous road task, which falls short of the title game. But this wasn't and never has been a championship-caliber team. Jets fans get swept up in the emotion and the hype and start believing that sh*t. But think about it. In both of the previous two years, the team has given you legitimate reasons to seriosly question how good they are; are they for real; will this quarterback ever put it all together; is this defense overrated? If your team consistently gives you reason to ask those questions, you're not a title team. Yeah, every now and then you'll get a magical run and a non-elite will steal a championship like the Giants in '07. But that is so rare and you can't bank on that.

And look at the way the league is now. It's the teams that can smack the sh*t outta you with 14 points in a blink that are the real elites. The Steelers are somewhat the exception, but even they are a passing team with a top 5-7 quarterback and some of the speediest receivers in the league. This ain't 1996 where a good running game and a strong defense is enough. Nobody gives a f*ck about running the ball anymore anyway (the league slowly caught up to what Mike Martz knew 10 years ago) and you can't always put that pressure on your defense - especially in a league that's becoming so advanced in the passing game that it's difficult to stop. You need better play from the QB and more explosiveness from the offense. A 30-yard play shouldn't be special treat. Prolific (or at least efficient and consistent) passing and a defense that pressures the quarterback and forces turnovers. That's what wins. Look no further than the last several Super Bowl champs and the teams that are off to good starts right now.

For the record: The last few years, I've considered the Giants a 9-7 kinda team. Same deal where you get the +/- 1 win each year. They can go 10-6 and be, most likely, a one-and-done playoff team, or 8-8 and miss out. That's their talent + coaching level.

I've never wanted to believe it, and I've bought into all the gusto and bravado our coach puts out there and blindly loved this defense despite their tendency to not look as good as they act at times, but you are 100 PERCENT right. This team got lucky, we had a couple of good runs but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Like you said, we don't even know if we have the QB to lead us there, I don't like what I see. No pass rush and a very suspect line and running game. I still think we will find a way to sneak into the playoffs this year, but no way we get back to the Title game let alone a Super Bowl.
