Before this game started, not one butterfly. For the first time ever in my life I was not nervous before a Yankee playoff game. Pettitte gave up to HR and I just smiled and didn't even get upset.

I think I have accepted the fact that this is not a World Series team. The pitching is just not there and the offense has too many holes. In truth, I'd rather lose to Texas than the Phillies.

If they do win the World Series, I would be shocked. I would be happy beyond words, but at this point I just don't expect it like I did last year.

After winning the World Series in 2008, the Phillies fell short in 2009 and re-tooled with Halladay and Oswalt for another run in 2010. After winning in 2009, we are going to fall short this season. Our moron GM better re-tool with Cliff Lee and a big bat. Get me Adam Dunn.

What disgusts me is this could've been a WS team had the moron GM just done two things at the deadline. Got Lee and a good hitter. Whatever, I just hope he doesn't feck up the offseason. Lee has to be priority one, dumbasses can say whatever they want about Jeter and his intangibles and other nonsense, if he's going to be a little bitch about his pay and this that and the other, let him f*cking walk or at least talk to other teams, good luck finding one that will overvalue him as much as he overvalues himself and if he does find one, good walk and be someone else's problem 3 years down the road or maybe even before. Lee has to be the top free agent target by Cashman and he better get him here. If he f*cks up twice trying to get this guy, he needs to be replaced.

Well then like we've said, if he doesn't get Lee, the Yanks should get a new GM. Simple, not a nice consolation prize but at least we'd be moving on from that moron who can't do anything for this franchise when he's not armed with the Steinbrenners' checkbook.

Honestly winning again this year would have been gravy to me, I'm not giving up yet, but obviously we have to win three in a row because if this goes to a game 7 we are f*cked. I'm not really mad or upset, I've seen 5 Yankee World Series titles in my lifetime, that's pretty f*cking good. Last year was great, felt so good winning again after what seemed like an eternity since 2000. I got spoiled over that time, teams just don't win 4 out of 5 years all the time, I sure wasn't expecting another run like that. Next year this team better break the bank for Lee. The Rangers have new revenue coming in with their new TV contract and also have no state income tax, we have to throw the money at him hard, make him the highest paid pitcher in baseball and might have to even give an extra year or two then we might want to. I know Nolan really wants to do whatever it takes to keep him, but we have to sweeten the pot and give him an offer he can't refuse.
