30 and 100, 14 years in a row extending his record. I know a certain black asshole who doubted this would happen. :smirk: |

And people will still find a way to bitch about his season while kissing Jeter's ass for 'getting his average up' to .265. |

He got on the HGH for the last month so he could reach his 30. YF, I'll bitch about both their seasons. A-Rod is getting paid $30 million to hit .310/45/130 and Jeter $20M for .330/15-20/.400 OBP/25-30 SB. Both of them fell way short of where they should be. People should be getting on both. Obviously, Jeter much more than A-Rod. But don't be like Rob, sucking A-Rod's dick because he got his 30/100 and ignoring the fact he's a .270 hitter with a wack OBP who's getting more injury prone every year. |

A-Rod has at least 30 hrs now and has over 120 RBI, I'll take that. I'm not kissing anybody's ass, but A-Rod at least helped this team win some games. Jeter has been sh*t all year.

He's one of the greatest ballplayers in the history of this great game. I'm glad he's on my team. Congrats to him for reaching that milestone yet again. |

Strider is a hater. He's always been an A-Rod hater and the fact that he lead the team to a World Series still irks him. He's like all the moron fans who call WFAN who call in to bash A-Rod every time there is a Jeter discussion. Ashy ass baboon! :annoyed: |

30 HR's and 100 RBI's is all well and good, but there's been relatively little discussion about his 60 point drop in OBP. |

I love it, we needed somebody to step up these last few weeks and A-Rod does it. But who cares, his obp has fallen. On the other hand lets all suck of Derek Jeter and his .265 batting average and the rest of the core four as well. They've all been absolutely phenomenal this year and I hope each of them get five year extensions, they deserve it. But A-Rod, maybe we can trade the pile of shet in the offseason. In one of his worst seasons he just barely reach 30 HR again and topped 120 RBI. What a complete loser. I remember back in 2008 when Jeter was a .270 hitter all year then has a great September to get his avg. up to .300 and everybody swings from his dick. 'He plays his best when it matters,' they made a bigger deal about that than Mike Mussina after a miserable 2007 winning 20 games. And this was a playoff-less season no less, it's not like we were playing for anything in Sept. anyway as the chances of post season play were very slim. But again, he's always been Mr. Clutch and A-Rod, well, he'll never help us win sh*t right? The guy only has two MVPs and a WS ring with us, he's been such a terrible Yankee, I wish they never traded for him... Most Yankee fans sicken me. 90% of them are not really Yankee fans, they pick a certain player or coach and root for him, they couldn't care less if the Yankees win as long as their favorite person does well. Yeah, the fact that an MVP candidate was hitting behind him all year had nothing to do with the dramatic drop-off of in walks. :-||| His drop in OBP would be a concern if he was striking out and swinging wildly at balls out of the zone more often. He is not doing that; in fact his strikeout rate is at the lowest it's been since 1998. |

And Rob can't say when I've ever been an A-Rod hater. YF, you're generalizing. There aren't many people on here (your audience) who think like that. I've always been an A-Rod supporter and I've always thought he was never and would never be as appreciated as he should be. (I hate his contract and I know for a fact that you too will be bitching about it in three years, but I don't dislike the player.) And you know where I've stood on Jeter. But I think the majority of people here right now are closer to our side. As the number of active members has dropped and former bitch-ass bitches like Rob have started leaning VC, there aren't many of the kinds of fans you're ripping on. You preachin' to the choir, dawg. As for the Core Four hate. Who was telling people to hop off their nuts long before you two ever had any inclination? I've never liked Posada; long called Jeter overpaid and vastly overrated; though I was appreciative of him, I've never been the effusive dick-sucking Mariano fan that most of you are/have been. Pettitte I like (and, if you recall, I defended him to YF in '08 when you wrote him off and didn't want him back), though I think this postseason immortal reputation people have tagged on him is quite ignorant and inaccurate. So, again, ya'll ain't saying sh*t I wasn't saying five years ago. And in 2008, I didn't give a f*ck about Mussina's 20 wins or Jeter's for-show .300 average. That team was an embarassment (in how much it underachieved) and I disliked a bunch of them. So two guys reaching meaningless milestones meant absolutely nothing to me. In fact, I'm pretty sure I didn't even watch; I was immersed in the Giants being the best team in the league for three months that year. |

I'm not really calling anybody out here, it's more just the crap I've heard on local sports talk radio and from friends lately that pisses me off and when I see something posted that mirrors their idiotic thinking I have to post about it. Even Moo has been more critical in recent years than he used to be so I don't necessarily think he loves or hates anybody on the team to the extreme. And I actually have criticized A-Rod quite a bit this year but the bottomline is in the last few weeks when the team has needed him to win some games he's done so and he should be able to get a little credit for that without having to deal with any 'but this...' comments because if Jeter were doing the same thing his dick riders would be telling everybody about it and avoiding the fact that he's been a putrid .260 hitter for most of this year out of the leadoff spot and if he had any other name he'd have been dropped to the bottom third of the order, PERIOD! |

You know what I'd love? Seeing Jeter dropped to 8th in the lineup in a playoff game. See, I'd love that almost as much as I would like to see him hit .450 in the playoffs. Because the morning-after carnage on sports radio would be so entertaining. "This is like if I broke into Joe Girardi's house and raped his wife. What he did to Derek Jeter is as much a crime and even more of a sin." |

If Jeter swings the bat in the playoffs like he has all regular season (and there's no reason to believe he won't), Girardi would actually have damn good reason to bat him 8th. But you're right, people wouldn't look at the situation and see what's really going on all they know is 'HE'S DEREK JEETAH!!!!!' |
