f*ck that injury prone bust Montero. Lee is the real deal and Cashman got played. None of you cared about Cashman turning down FLOBBA for Haren. Haren has done nothing but post a 3.39 ERA for the Angels. But it's not a big deal, he sucks and FLOBBA is young. Morons. |

I wanted Lee but the day I saw that the trade might happen I sign on here and everybody was all up in arms that we were giving up Montero and we don't need Lee, Hang 'em is great, blah blah blah. I'm listening to the radio and Fatsessa is going on and on about how it's unfair that the Yankees can do this and it's overkill and all sorts of nonsense. Yes, this team needed Lee or Haren and Cashman screwed up big time. How the hell he didn't get Haren is beyond me. The M's and Rangers played him, he thought he had a deal then they went behind his back and made a deal, fine, that's actually not all his fault but to not get Haren? Stupid. |

Was anyone here actually against the Lee deal? And I think it's really more this "elite" offense scoring 23 runs during this 1-6 stretch. |

He'd insist he was right. The line would be 'that's baseball, injuries happen,' or some kind of nonsense in his whiney little voice that he uses when people call him on his stupidity. |

You know what? The Yankees SHOULDN'T need Lee. It's f*cking disgraceful that this team should have the payroll it does and still need to add someone like that. It really reflects poorly on the front office's management and allocation of money. The most annoying thing is how low this team's bang-for-buck ratio is. |

And you are noticing this now? This has been the Yankee way since 2001. A $225m payroll and guys like Mitro and Mosly are pitching some of the most important innings of the year. The Yanks have to make 400 trades at the deadline just to have a solid team. Wood, Kearns, and Berkman?! Plus deal for Lee that fell through. A team with a $225m payroll should be set from the start. There should be no need for all these trades. Unfortunately, the Yanks GM is a moronic asshole. Chan Ho Park!? Randy Winn?! Come on. |

That's just the economics of putting together a team. We'd be complaining if our payroll was more spread out and even that we didn't have a true ace or a legit superstar bat (which I guess you could make the case we don't anyway). |
