 What pisses me off the most is I can't even dream about them being able to get rid of this guy after the season because no team in its right mind would take on him and his insane contract. We're stuck with this clown for three more years and I have no reason to believe next year, the year after that or the year after that will be much better than this. |

I don't think they would've been able to trade him after last year - low 4s ERA, World Series and all. |

His contract is unmovable, and Strider is right, even with a decent year last year and some big postseason starts, although for every great postseason start he had he also had one equally has putrid, he was unmovable then as well. |

The only conceivable way to move him is to take back someone else's bad contract/headcase. Would you trade him for Carlos Zambrano? |

I'd really consider it since Zambrano only has two guaranteed years left (and an option for 2013) and has been an All-Star before. I wouldn't expect much of a return since he's more of a headcase and has similar control problems, but at least he's got a better track record and you're done with him sooner. |

I'd consider it, no question about it. |

There's no way in hell I would trade Burnett for Zambrano. Zambrano sucks, he pitches in the NL, he doesn't throw in the mid 90s anymore, his stuff is severely diminished (steroids), and he's crazy! His 89 mph fastballs would get creamed even harder in the AL than they do in the NL. Plus, he makes even more money than AJ. $17.8m next year, $18m in 2012, and a vesting player option for $19.25m in 2013. |
