I feel like the Yankees are really going out of their way to take playing time away from Marcus Thames, who is having a really good year.

Playing time? He'd be out of a job. So silly considering what a malcontent Guillen is.

I just read the article. At no point does it say the Yankees are about to sign him. They're looking into it during the ten days after he was designated for assignment.

When I saw he was DFA'd last night or whenever it was I was wishing we didn't get Berkman's fat ass and just got Guillen!

Not to mention this

2010 vs LHP
Thames: .328 BA, .421 OBP, .431 SLG
Guillen: 217 BA, .320 OBP, .301 SLG

Career vs LHP
Thames: .263 BA, .336 OBP, .509 SLG
Guillen: .271 BA, .328 OBP, .461 SLG

I mean whats the point, really?

If Berkman wasn't such a bust the Yankees wouldn't think twice about Nose Guillen.

Exactly, Berkman has nothing left, that's quite obvious. He's a broken down old steroids user.

No, it really doesn't, other than Guillen telling teammates TWO WEEKS AGO (before the trade deadline) that he would be a Yankee at the same time that a Yankees official said the team had no interest in him. The article simply states that they aren't shutting the door on acquiring him.

I'm with you, but I dought they do that. I'm afraid that bum Berkman is here for the rest of the season. If he had any class, he'd retire... :annoyed:

Yeah sure, he'd retire at age 34 because he's had an ineffective five games, and forfeit the rest of his contract. That makes a ton of sense.

And many more ineffective games to come based on the way he's looked so far. Another Cashman gem.

Cashman didn't give up anything for him and Houston is paying a lot of his salary! It was worth a roll of the dice.

I actually don't completely disagree with you, doesn't mean he isn't a useless sack of sh*t and since Cashman had to make a move because his idiotic offseason decisons didn't pan out, he gets heat for this too.

Well I think we both wanted Damon to DH and that's not totally on Cashman. Damon gets some of the fault on that one too. Something tells me Damon probably regrets it.

I'm not excusing Damon's idiotic demands either but I won't cut Cashman any slack. Granderson, Johnson and Vazquez... two cumstains and a bleeding vagina. Berkman is just another useless piece of sh*t added to the pile.

Rob: Does "Cashman" sound Jewish to you? Does he look like a Jew? We've got a $200M payroll and he throws money away every December and July. Does that sound like a Jew to you?
