Guys - I have been crazy busy this spring, havent followed the team, dont have Extra Innings this year, I have no idea at all whats going on... All I know is that Tex is playing like sh*t and Granderson has been hurt.. Can anybody hook a ***** up with a breakdown of the first part of the season, and how everybody is doing? Thx. -BC2 |

Hughes has been amazing, CC started well but then turned into Slobathia for a little bit but has pitched well his last couple of times against the weak sisters of the league. AJ to me is still AJ, a little more good mixed in between the occasional sh*t start. Vazquez was AWFUL early on but has actually settled down and he's evened up his record at 5-5 and hopefully will keep this pattern up, if he starts pitching well this team will be unstoppable in my mind. Pettitte has been amazing, best I've seen Pettitte during the regular season in a long long time, he's been great. ERA under 3 if I'm not mistaken. The Pen has been a mess in my mind. Mo has looked shaky and been hurt. Joba is absolutely inconsistent. Robertson has been a complete disaster and disappointment. Chan Ho Park gives up meatballs left and right in between getting hurt and having the shits. Acves is hurt and who knows how long he'll be out with back issues. Mitre sucks. Marte is fine. A couple of guys came up by the name of Nova and Sanchez, both actually pitched well. Wouldn't mind them getting more of a look. As far as the offense goes, the injuries have killed us. Nick Johnson continues to show how much of a soft lesbian he is as he's out for the next couple of months at least I guess. Granderson has been a disappointment but I'll give him a break due to the injury. We have no bench although Thames has done well with the bat but is a disaster in the outfield. Thank god Winn is gone, he was awful. Francelli has done a fine job filling in for Jorge, he just needs to lose that damn Spaceballs helemt, I'd rather get 10 concussions then where that thing. With all the injuries we are 35-22 and a couple of games back. I still believe we will win this divisino by at least 5 games and win 100 plus games, especially if Hughes keeps this up and the starting rotation can stay healtny. I still think we need to add a piece at the deadline, maybe a bat. Someone who can be a full time DH if and when Jorge gets back behind the plate. Tex has been completely lost, hell, he's been lost since October of last year! He's done NOTHING! I'm getting fed up with it. Cano has been amazing, MVP type year so far. A Rod is starting to light it up again, only 8 bombs but he'll but at his usual .290 30 plus and 120 plus come the end of the year. |

They've both been fine. Marte unfortunately seems to be a lefty only guy at this point, but at least he's pitching well against them. If you don't trust Mitre I get it, but his stuff is better than last year and he's getting it done. |
