Vlad's going to hit a minimum of 35 HR and knock in 120+ runs and he's making $5m!!!!! Cashman is a f*cking moron. Posted Image |

It would have been a great risk/reward. Low money, so even if he didn't regain his old form you weren't losing much. I mean hell, if he stayed healthy and equaled his numbers from last year it wouldn't have been a bad move. When they decided against bringing Matsui back I don't understand why they didn't take a stronger look at Vlad. |

Vlad was my first choice. My initial idea (not that it matters) was to let Matsui and Damon go, sign Vlad to DH and sign or trade for a leftfielder. I figured Vlad not having to play the field could at least be as productive as Matsui last year with the potential for more. But, again, I wasn't against the Nick Johnson move when it happened so I can't knock it too much now.
Last time you said sh*t like that about an opposing player was Jason Bay hitting at least 40 and driving in 140 last year. |

Re: Montero. It's too soon to call him a bust. Besides, he's a can't-miss prospect. |

Vlad would have been sick in this lineup, and Dunn would be sick in this park. Like most of you I liked the Johnson signing, so I can't say sh*t neither. |
