I couldn't post or talk about this team once we got down 20-17 yesterday, I knew it was over. I was numb. My house went quiet, accept for the friggin' kids running around like maniacs. The TV switched from the game to a f*cking tornado warning, I was irate. The Tornado could have bolted down my house at that point, I would have just stood there while it did it's damage. It switches back and we're punting....figures. That setup the drive for the Colts to take a 27-17 lead....game set match, officially. I'm depressed, I'm numb, disappointed. Evan and Joe B played some said song on their opening, made me tear up. I love this team, I loved the ride, but ultimately the drought and my misery continues.

I hear... "Vin, keep your head up, the future is bright. We'll back back here again." That's what I said in 1999 after the '98 season and our appearnce in the AFC Championship game, how did that go for me? That's what my Dad said in 1983 after the Mud Bowl. The truth is you never know when you will get this far again. Should the future be bright? Of course. We have a good defense that could be great if they get a true legit pass rusher that can get to the QB. Right now the only way we can get there is on blitzes and stunts. We need a corner opposite Revis. If we cover those two things we can potentially become a great defense, all we have right now is a good defense that may have been the best in football this year, but it truly wasn't great. Our QB potentially has a bright future. Greene looks like he's going to be a premier back. Our offensive line outside of Woody and Faneca are relatively young and you expect them to all stay together another year.

I also want to look back and say I think I agree with Rob, we got a little conservative after that fumble when settling for 3. On 2nd down and 10 we should have been passing, instead we get a 4 yard loss. Either way, I don't think we beat them, we just had no answers for Manning in the 2nd half. This guy is unbelievable. I've seen enough, he's the best QB on the planet and when all is said and done will probably be top 3 ever, he tops Brady. No doubt about it. That's our game though, ground and pound. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of ways to beat you, and Rex said after the game that will change next y ear. The QB will hopefully develop more and we can open things up a little bit with him.

My head coach, I love this guy. I love the bravado. I love the swagger. Is he going to be a great head coach? I have no idea, it's way too early to tell. With that being said, he has a great defensive mind and I love the fact that he isn't scared to speak what's on his mind. I hope he's planning our itinerary to the Super Bowl next year and the parade as well. That should always be the goal, and don't be scared to think that way. All I know is he's off to a great start and hopefully he gets us back to this spot next year.

One last thing, props to the kid, Sanchez. I don't know what your future is, I think it's pretty damn good, but let me say this, what a game yesterday. The kid played well. I was proud of him. That's a fast defense and one that can get to the QB, he hung in there took some shots but didn't get sacked and didn't make any stupid mistakes. Threw some great passes when needed and played well. Feely left 6 points on the field, and our defense just had no answer for Manning from about the 2 minute mark of the 1st half and on through the rest of the game. Good job Sanchez. You did your part.

I'm already over it. Last night I truly accpeted for the first time that this is just a loser franchise. They never accomplished sh*t before Super Bowl 3, they haven't won a damn thing since and they never will. 8-8 at best next season, truth is this team shouldn't even have been in the playoffs. I don't feel as good about the future as some people do, this isn't like 1998 where we actually had a real good team and pretty much the same one in place for the following year this is a mediocre team that caught some breaks and turned it into an AFC title game appearance but ultimately blew it again and it will be a while before we get back. Took 11 years just to reach this point again and while I give Sanchez that he played well in the playoffs I still need to see much more before I believe he's a guy who could get us to the Super Bowl.

Could be 7-9 next year, could also be 10-6...who knows. I do know that this team has the pieces in place and if they stay healthy and the quarterback does develop, no reason we can't content for a Wild Card or Division title next year.

Especially with the state of flux in the rest of the division there is enough promise to believe they have a shot at winning the division. Can't really ask for much more then that.

That's the next step, the ultimate goal is to win the division and get a first round bye and a home playoff game or two. That would make the road to the Super Bowl so much easier. This was a fun ride though, ultimately we didn't achieve what we've been waiting for, but it was fun none the less.

The Juets have actually won less than the Marlins that's the funny thing. Unfortunately Juet fans have had to settle for 'fun rides' for years now. As for this run though, this team proved to be nothing more than a fraud. The Colts laid down for them in Week 15 that's the only reason they were in the playoffs and of course they didn't take advantage, it just delayed the inevitable which was Indy knocking them out. Losers.

I hear that the Jets didn't deserve to get into the playoffs...well who did? The Steelers who lost the the Raiders and Browns? The Dolphins who lost to the Texans and Steelers to close the year? The Texans? They lost to the Jets. The Jets deserved to make the playoffs, period. Other teams had chances to win out starting in week 16 and get the job done, but they blew it.

Yes, the Jets fell short of the goal, with that being said going to the AFC Championship is better than losing the divisional round. The further my team gets the better. I'd rather see the Yankees make the postseason like they did from '02-'07 than to just not get there at all. Ultimately they didn't win a championship and in some of those years were one and done, not the goal set out, but I'd rather make the dance as opposed to not at all. I'm proud of what the Jets did this year even with the disappointment of falling short of what all 32 teams want to achieve.

The Marlins have won as many or more World Series titles than 16 other MLB Franchises. So bad example. The Jets are not some laughing stock sorry franchise, sure they haven't won since Super Bowl III, but they have a better history and have been more successful than a lot of other franchises, including two we beat in the playoffs this year.
