I didn't expect to win this game either but Sanchez pissed me off beyond belief. 4 turnovers! Too much faggetry there. And this isn't the only game where he's been an imbecile when it comes to taking care of the football. I was pretty pissed off last week too when he had it knocked away. |

 For the record I picked the Saints to win this game. But I said IF they won this game I could see them starting off like that. Anywho, Denver is 1 of only 2 unbeaten AFC Teams. And son of a bitch.. San Diego is only down a TD now. :wall: |

This was going to happen eventually. It'll be a good learning experience and I expect Sanchez to build from it. Better he did this against New Orleans than against a team like Miami or Buffalo who you have to beat. There's no shame in losing to an elite, non-conference team on the road. Sanchez absolutely has to play better for the team to go places, but with Pace, Lito and Strickland being added to an already dominant defense, I still think the team is going in the right direction. |

At least if you are going to stick your f*cking nose in here be consistent. Do it all the time, don't just pick and choose after a loss. We are one up on you guys this year, you going to show up when we beat you a 2nd time on the season but this time in Foxboro? |

That's strictly speaks to the Jets soft schedule after this New Orleans game, I don't think any Juet fan in their right mind expected a win against New Orleans, with that being said the defense did a good job against that potent offense, the kid just had a terrible game like was eventually going to happen. Unfortunately this team to me won't be anything more then a possible playoff team who can maybe win a playoff game, that's the ceiling. I just don't think you can have any higher expectation when you have a rookie starting at QB, he's going to have games like he did in New Orleans, there is no way around it. |

:blackguy: :please: The Pats got beat in week 2 i won't deny that. But I'm confident come November we will beat the Jets, and besides that sunshine logo was a pure joke on my part responding to a consistently sunshiney poster. Edited by BeanBoy, Oct 6 2009, 08:29 PM.

The Juets just ruined a great debut by Braylon Edwards with a defensive performance that was more gutless than anything I've seen in a long while. Take the 3-0 start and shove it up your ass. Take this defense and shove it up your ass. Shove Rex Ryan up your ass as well. I better not hear another word out of asshats like Rhodes, Jenkins, Scott or anybody else the rest of the year. They're all gutless pukes. All I remember is hearing the Juets say after the Pats game how they should be respected. f*cking losers. |

What a joke. Sanchez has a hell of a game, Edwards was money and what happens, the defense looks scared and lost against the f*cking gimmick offense of the Dolphins. What a joke. I'm done with this team. |

A gimmick offense, you're right Vin that's exactly what it is and that's what had me beyond pissed off while I'm watching them tear through our defense. A truly good team wins that game last night, a truly elite defense shuts their asses out. Gutless, period. And Rex Ryan is a damn fool! I was yelling at the f*cking tv for this imbecile to call a timeout, but he felt his defense 'was going to stop them.' YOU DIDN'T STOP THEM ALL GAME AND ESPECIALLY THE FOURTH QUARTER YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I was guilty of crowning this defense one of the elite in the league after 3 games, and even in the loss to the Saints the defense did a hell of a job. However, after seeing the gutlessness last night, they were clearly overrated. I'm interested to see how they perform when we see the Fins again in a couple of weeks. They better f*cking make up for this sh*t we saw last night. Not sure if I can even watch though, year after year this team seems to get my hopes up only to eventually rip my heart out and stomp on it. |

I've thought all along the Jets defense was overrated. It started with the performance against the Pats. The results were there, but if you look at it, Brady missed a bunch of open receivers; at least two of them for touchdowns. And the Saints were able to move the ball on them and maintain possession seemingly every time they had to. The biggest flaw, and one I've talked about since last year, is the pass rush. That wasn't so much a factor last night (especially early on), but this defense has four sacks. That's last in the NFL. And where is that consistent pressure gonna come from? Pace is good, but he's not a pass-rushing beast like Harrison or Ware or even Porter. He's a guy who does a little of everything. For that 3-4 to really terrorize QBs, I think you need at least one guy at OLB who's gonna get you 10+ sacks. The Jets don't have that. It ain't Gholston. I think this is probably a top 10 defense (quality secondary and they're usually good against the run), but not a real elite. The Giants are statistically the #1 defense, but I put them in the same boat. They're top 10, but by season's end, that secondary will have come down to earth and, with Boley's injuries, some TEs and RBs will start getting loose in the flats. Still, it's no reason to be "done with the team." Nugga, it's Week 6. And we all know that if they beat the Bills, 28-10, as they should, you'll be right back on. You were done with the Yankees in April and June and August. |

It's hard to complain about gimmicks when the Jets ran not one, but two fake punts. I'm incredibly disappointed and woke up this morning as mad as I ever have but it is what it is. Dolphins play New Orleans this week and the Pats play Tennessee who have to win a game at some point right? They're still in good shape but typical of being a Jet fan every year I've toned down my expectations. Ryan is a young coach who has to learn more about the demeanor of being a Head Coach rather than a coordinator. He said he didn't call a timeout because he has confidence his team was going to stop the, and that's all well and good, but it's getting caught up in the emotion of the game too much. I'm not sure if that's something that he will improve on as he gets more experience or if that's how he's hardwired but we'll see. Bottom line is with two games in the next two weeks that we should win, I would've signed up for being 5-2 with Miami coming to the Meadowlands for week 8. |

They can't make up for what happened. We should've had a win but we got tagged with a loss because patheticness. You can't get that game back, just like we can't get the week 4 loss back. This team can't put sh*t together. If the defense is there, the offense isn't and vice-versa. f*ck them. And there were people suggesting 9-0, 8-1, 6-3 (I'll admit I got a little too excited as well but I got slapped back to reality last night). We'll be 4-5 after nine games, end of discussion. Same old Jets. Edited by Yanksfan03, Oct 13 2009, 06:56 PM.

As maddening as the loss to Miami was, they're still in decent shape. The last 3 games look really tough right now with Atlanta, Indy and Cincinnatti on the schedule so having 9 wins by Week 15 is almost necessary to have a shot at the playoffs. |
