By the way, that's the loudest I recall hearing a Jet crowd in quite sometime. That place was jumping!

That place was jumping. Nice statement game by the Jets, teams of years past would never won that game.

So true, you just get a different feel with this bunch. Especially on the defensive end. The offense is going to have it's up and downs, especially when you have a rookie running the show. However, I've been impressed with his composure to this point and if the defense is going to bring it and play at a high level all year, I expect good things from this team.

The Pats should be 0-2. They look like dogshit. The Juets pulled down Brady's pants and f*cked him right in the ass.

Good job by Brady, f*cking my fantasy team. Brady had receivers open all day and he was throwing passes like Eli. Twice he would've had touchdowns if he made an accurate throw.

Good win Vinny. Jets are looking really good so far. Must feel great to beat the Pats.

We got the pats in 3 weeks. I'm hoping they aren't fully clicking then either.

Your boys beat around the Browns and that stiff Mangini.

Nice 2-0 start for both our squads.

Love the performance by the defense so far. Just two games so I'm not going to get to get too crazy and over the years I've learned how quickly things can go from good to bad for us. Still, it's a nice to start and so far seems like a very nice change from Mangini. I loved how at the end, Ryan didn't let up, he made the d put its foot on Brady's neck and kept stomping. Sending everybody on the pass rush is a risk at that point in the game but I'd rather take a risk that the rush is going to stop him rather than going into the stupid ass prevent defense which gives the opposition the whole field and only prevents the win. Special team was money, those guys should get a lot of credit as well.

And as for Mark Sanchez. It's just two games, but I hope he keeps this up and proves me wrong for doubting him. I like how he came right out in the 3rd quarter after the rough first half and took advantage of the great field position given to him by Leon Washington with the go-ahead td. It was nice to see the offense in general make some adjustments because last year they just would've sat back and done nothing even when it obvious the plan wasn't working.

The thing I love about Sanchez most is his presence and his foot work in the pocket. He keeps his feet moving so well and always seems to have his feet in the right position thus always is making good solid throws. It's a long year though, and rookies are always going to hit a lot of bumps in the road. I'm sure there will be those games where he's making a ton of mistakes and bad decisions.

The defense, although only 2 games I do have a lot of confidence in that group. Like you said, I love the fact that they just kept coming and kept coming at Brady, no letting up. No prevent in the last few minutes on defense, they kept the same game plan and that's the key.

By the way, what Revis has done the last two weeks against arguably the two best WRs in the game, amazing. This guy is a star, a true shutdown corner.

A positive post by you? :O .. Are you feeling okay? :bag:
But I agree about that last drive. You guys rushed like 9 people it seemed  Forcing him to throw horrible passes. I hate that stupid ass prevent sh*t.

Just like 2 weeks ago when Denver played Cincy. We played good D all game long. And then the final drive we prevent and let Cincy drive right down the field.

I like Rex Ryan's style.

I don't care if the Jets never use the prevent defense again, I HATE it that much. I look at this way... I'd rather send six or seven guys after a guy like Brady and have him hook up with Welker or Moss for a touchdown then just give them the whole length of the field to play with because frankly, they're going to score on you anyway. At least if they burn you on the blitz it'll likely be a quick strike and you still have time on the clock for another posession to try and win the game in regulation. By playing the prevent d you're giving them the field and they can burn up the clock as well. I hate watching that sh*t.

I was just find'a ask YF what he thought of Sanchez so far. He's shown a little more, in terms of talent, than I figured. I wasn't against the pick because I thought he projected to "good" but didn't have the arm to be great. But he's been able to put some zip on balls off-balance. At USC, some of his deep balls looked good and others hung way too long, so I had questions about his arm. But it looks to be a little above average. And his accuracy and ability to move have never been questioned. Plus, from all accounts, he's a leader and has good Mexican work ethic. He'll never put up those numbers, but talent-to-talent, he's probably most similar to Drew Brees. Maybe he'll be the Chargers version of Brees. In his prime, if he stays in this same system and progresses the way you'd hope, I see him being a 3,400/24 TD/13 INT/63% kind of QB. Kind of a game-manager, but with the ability to make stuff happen.

I think if you look at the three year stretch that Jeff Garcia was the 49ers starting QB and healthy it's a pretty good indication of what kind of numbers Sanchez can put up. With this defense he's not going to be asked to win games, but he's going to be able to do more than Trent Dilfer. Everyone has talked about his poise in the pocket, but he's a great ball manipulator and in Schottenheimer's play action happy offense he's a perfect fit.

No doubt the kid has a good head on his shoulders and nothing is going to faze him. He certainly has the capability of being a real leader out there.

The '98 team was fun to watch and in 2004 they weren't flashy but they got the job done and were also a pleasure to watch at times outside of Herm's piss poor clock management. But let me tell you, this team here so far, I'm having a BLAST watching them, especially this defense.

Damn, a Brad Smith sighting!!! Anyway, way to hold on to the ball, Fuller took most of the brunt on that hit.
