Now, I haven't purchased a Madden game since Madden 07, which I was disappointed in. I rented 08 and decided not to buy it. I played 09 at a friends house and was glad I saved $65.

But for some reason, I bought Madden 10 today. I've only played 2 games, but so far I am liking it!! The presentation is phenomenal, they have made great strides in this part of the game. It's almost like you are watching a game on TV.

The graphics are awesome. The snow effects are amazing, I lost my first game because Hixon slipped on a out route and the easy INT was run back for a TD that untied the game with under 1:30 left in the game.

As for the most important part, the gameplay, it's still Madden. There are little tweeks here and there to make some improvements, but it's still kind of underwhelming and the AI is just stupid at times.

It's the only game I've bought all summer! This has been a terrible summer for games!! I've been playing The Show and that's it!

I'd stopped playing video games in 2006 (after I bought Madden 07, got bored and said f*ck it), but got lured back in last year because of Madden 09. Bought an XBox just for that. I've probably played it 4-5 times. The controls are different, there's a bunch of options I'm not familiar with. I'd have to put in a lot of time to learning the new stuff - after I MASTERED the old Maddens on PS2 - and I couldn't be bothered. I'm kinda tempted to buy '10, but I think the same thing will happen.

The only game I've played this summer besides The Show is Punch-Out!! I bought a Wii just for that game. :no1:

I hope this game isn't sh*t but it probably is. I'm going to wait for a bunch of reviews and to see how that new Batman game gets reviewed before deciding which to buy.

You can download the Batman demo, it's on the PS Store and on the XBL Marketplace. I downloaded it and played it today, it's pretty good, nothing special. It reminded me of the Wolverine game, which was surprisingly good for a game based off a movie.

I played and enjoyed the demo, not enough of a sampling for me to get a good idea about the game though. I hate how all these f*cking demos are 5 minutes tops and you don't get any boss fights or any real action. I'll wait to see what people think after it comes out, one of my friends is buying it the day it comes out so I'll try it for myself then and decide if it's worth the $60. Usually these licensed games end up being total crap. One of my friends bought that G.I. Joe game and I couldn't stop laughing at how bad it was. That Shadow Complex game headed to Xbox Live Arcade would've been a better buy for somebody looking for G.I. Joe.

So I just played my first game, and take this for what its worth because it's the first Next Gen game i've bought but I really like it. Gamespeed is really realistic, running you have to follow blocks, defense is tough because it seems like passes in the air are really quick but I was playing the Cardinals so who knows. Overall after one game I have a feeling this is going to take up a large portion of my non-work life.
