Kenny Florian vs BJ Penn- I'm going with the upset and taking Florian. I'll probably be wrong and Penn will steamroll him, but Florian has just been on a tear, hes a hard worker, and he has the skillset to win. I don't know how he'll win, but I think a decision seems likely. Utiilize his muay thai and reach advantage and outwork Penn.

Forrest Griffin vs Anderson Silva- When this fight was setup, I was excited and thought about how Forrest could pose some interesting problems. Forrest is a humungous guy and Silva's used to fighting at 185, a weight Forrest could never reach. Also, Forrest trains with Couture and has an underrated jiu-jitsu game. I expect Forrest to try his damndest to get this fight on the floor. He might give Silva some problems. But at the end of the day, we're talking about a guy in Silva that has walked through Rich Franklin, Nate Marquardt, and Dan Henderson. Silva TKO Round 2 or 3.

Josh Neer vs Kurt Pellegrino- Pellegrino is like a 2 to 1 underdog. I think that's a good opportunity to make money if you're a gambler. He's been working with Florian, so you know his usual weakness, cardio, will be much improved. Plus, his wrestling is top notch, as well as his jiu-jitsu. Neer is dangerous, but he doesn't have the wrestling to stop Pellegrino. I expect the Jersey native to win a decision

Amir Sadollah vs Johnny Hendricks- Sadollah is making his debut since winning the TUF, fighting now at WW. Hendricks is a former Ohio State wrestler with an undefeated record, making his UFC debut. I don't know where to go with this fight, but I'll say the craft Sadollah gets a submission.

Kendall Grove vs Ricardo Almeida- Pretty good matchup here. Almeida has great jiu-jitsu, Grove is pretty darn good on the ground himself. Almeida has solid standup, Grove is a lanky motherf*cker that can be a bitch to deal with. This fight will probably come down to whether Almeida can get Grove consistantly on the ground. Grove has a weakness, his chin, but I doubt Almeida has the power to expose that. But if he gets him down, he can probably sub him. I'm gonna go with the slight upset and take Grove here by either late TKO or decision.

Well, I was only 2 of 5, but the fight I'd have bet on worked out.

The story of the night has to be how Anderson Silva just toyed with a good opponent. His striking is just amazing Posted Image

Anderson Silva is just a master of hitting the right spots on the chin. His striking is just on a whole different level. Forrest shouldn't have been trying to strike with him.

Why Oh Why are people trying to stand with Silva? After all this time, where he's made it easy against good fighters, why are fighters not trying with all their might to win the fight on the ground. I know he's BJJ black belt and perfectly competent there, but you got 1000 times better chance of winning on the ground than standing. You're not even getting a lucky punch on him. He's too f*cking good.
