STOP! a .256 BA is bad, a .281 OBP is GOD AWFUL, a .414 SLG % is bad (barely better than Brett Gardner, who is not even close to being a power hitter). If you want to say he is hitting for decent power, for a 37 year old catcher, when he actually gets a hit, then go ahead, I won't dissagree with you, but to say he is hitting decent overall just isn't true. Very few players in baseball are bad enough to have a .281 OBP |

Wilson Betemit isn't a Catcher on an NL team! The bottom line is production, and if Pudge keeps doing what he's doing, he's going to hit around 15 HR with about 65 RBI and 55 runs scored. How is that "bad" and "GOD AWFUL" hitting in the bottom of a NL lineup? He's doing OK, just like I said he is. |

I'm starting to realize this is pointless. If he is hitting ok then I don't know who isn't. Not too many people could play every day and not put up the numbers that you guys mentioned. The counting stats are at best decent (for a catcher) and everything else is garbage. If you think that is satisfactory, then fine. |

Giambi was released and Pavano was traded to the Twins for a PTBNL. |
