Boy he's going to eat up all the talk of his name attached to this team or that team, the phone calls from GM's wondering if he's going to change his mind. I hate his f*cking guts!!!!!

I truly hate him. I actually didn't mind him when he was with Green Bay but what he did last offseason then how gutless he played for us, I REALLY HATE him now. I thought it was great when players on the Jets were bashing him and then the media went to his defense 'well he was hurt' blah blah blah. Shut the feck up! HE SUCKED! I really wish he would just retire and we wouldn't have to hear about him again until his Hall of Fame induction.

Jones and Rhodes took a nice big sh*t all over him. It was great. They were classless and showed how little they know about being a teammate. That was the Jets undoing, the lack of a team concept. And those two proved themselves to be the root of that problem. Selfish assholes. The nerve!
Rhodes didn't sh*t on him. He just said that if he's back, he wants him participating in all the offseason activities and being more a part of the team. And I don't think what Jones said was shit-on material, either. It was the truth.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings haven't discussed the possibility of pursuing veteran quarterback Brett Favre. Yet.
Speaking on the first day of his team's rookie minicamp, coach Brad Childress said there hasn't been time to discuss the New York Jets' decision to release Favre. The move made Favre a free agent, raising speculation he was considering a return to the game despite releasing a statement in which he said his plans were to remain retired "at this time."
"We talk about everything," Childress said. "So yeah, I'm sure we'll talk about that." Chadiha: Is he done?
I'd like to believe Brett Favre will stay retired. But after last year nothing is certain, Jeffri Chadiha writes. Story
NFL blog Favre, 39, was roundly believed to be interested in joining the Vikings last summer, but Green Bay refused to release him and ultimately traded him to the Jets. He announced his retirement for the second time in February, citing in large part a biceps injury that would require surgery.
The Vikings plan to pit Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels in a training camp competition, and Childress said he hasn't thought beyond that.
"I'm more focused on our three quarterbacks right now," Childress said. "Tarvaris, Sage and J.D. [Booty], and seeing how they progress through our offseason program."
Kevin Seifert is the NFC North blogger for ESPN.com.
The talk is just beginning, boys!

I agree with you, but from the white media's ponit of view, what they said was the equivlent of shitting on Favre, and I loved it. I loved seeing the white media idiots like Skip Bayless get all bent out of shape because they dared to 'attack' his 'New York Brett.' I'm not a big fan of Stephen A. Smith, but I give him credit for one thing, he keeps it real when it comes to Brett Favre. He's the only person on ESPN who refused to suck Favre's dick.

Championships. Money. Fame. Competition. Those are the things that drive most quarterbacks. Not Brett Favre though; he's more interested in revenge.
According to a New York Daily News column by Gary Myers, a(nother) Favre return to the NFL would be motivated by his desire to get revenge on the Packers, the team that kicked him to the curb last spring in favor of Aaron Rodgers.
Writes Myers:
One NFL source insists Favre can't peacefully retire until he finds a way to get revenge on the Packers. He wants back into the NFC North so he can face the Packers twice. The Bears traded for Jay Cutler and the Lions drafted Matthew Stafford. Hello, Minnesota.
"Favre can't stand Green Bay," the source said. "He wants to play Green Bay and say, 'I told you so.' His bitterness is creating this. I think he's calling Minnesota. I think Minnesota is talking about this as we speak. You haven't heard the end of Favre. No way. He is bionic. As long as somebody will let him in, he will play."
Favre won't retire until he can get revenge on the Packers? So I guess he's either going to sign with the Vikings, pull all the fire alarms at Lambeau Field or make Ted Thompson some very special chili. (I'm also not sure what Favre being "bionic" has to do with getting revenge, unless he's planning some sort of "Six Million Dollar Man" type shenanigans.)
Though I'm as sick of Favre as the next non-Wrangler-jeans-wearing guy, I have to say, the thought of him coming back to the NFL with revenge on his mind is particularly delightful.
As if Brett Favre doesn't try to force the ball to his receivers enough, can you imagine if he was playing a game solely for spite? He'd probably be throwing into quintuple-coverage every time he dropped back to pass. There's a legitimate chance he could throw, like, 19 interceptions in the two games Minnesota would play against Green Bay. That would almost make up for having to hear incessantly about Favre for the next few months (he says in his second post about Brett Favre in the last five days).

I'm one of the few white people who thinks this guy is an overrated pile of shet at this point in his career. Hall of Famer sure but he's not nearly as good as people make him out to be. Even last year before I HATED the guy I wasn't jumping up and down when we got him. I couldn't blame the organization for making the move but unlike most Juet fans and the NY media I didn't act like the Juets had won the Super Bowl.

Favre and Childress to do lunch at an undisclosed location!!!
:puke:

Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress and quarterback Brett Favre plan to meet at an undisclosed location later this week to discuss the possibility of the former Packers and Jets quarterback renouncing his retirement from the NFL to play the 2009 season with the Vikings, according to a source with direct knowledge of discussions between the two parties.
There is a mutual understanding that sometime soon thereafter Favre will decide whether to sign with the Vikings. The team would expect him to participate fully in offseason minicamps and training camps, which he missed last year with the Jets.
Fantasy on Favre: Whatever
Fantasy The prospect of Brett Favre returning to the league doesn't exactly excite fantasy owners. Blog
Favre has not been working out and declined to have surgery to repair the torn biceps tendon that plagued him the final month of last season.
Favre may believe the injury can heal on its own as did a similar problem with his left shoulder while he played in Green Bay. A source close to Favre told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that how the injury heals will play a role in the quarterback's decision.
The source also said that the quarterback's agent, Bus Cook, is researching unemployed NFL quarterback coaches to see if one can be hired to work with Favre in Mississippi while he ponders a possible return.
Favre wanted to play for the Vikings last season, but the Packers specifically eliminated their NFC North rivals as a potential destination for the Green Bay icon.
While Favre had been emphatic about not returning next season, he never anticipated the Jets would release him after drafting Mark Sanchez in the first round and could see the Vikings as the opportunity to fulfill the goal he was deprived of last season -- winning a Super Bowl.
Childress on Harvin and Favre
NFL.com Video
Vikings head coach Brad Childress discusses Brett Favre and the health of rookie Percy Harvin.
Favre admitted to ESPN that he was motivated to play in 2008 largely because of his resentment toward Packers general manager Ted Thompson.
The Vikings had planned to have Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels compete for the starting quarterback position in training camp. With Jackson battling injuries last season, journeyman Gus Frerotte started 11 games and led the Vikes in passing.
Minnesota finished 10-6 to capture the NFC North but lost to the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs in a game started by Jackson.
Ed Werder covers the NFL for ESPN. Chris Mortensen is a senior NFL analyst for ESPN.

Even when he was good, he was prone to the big mistake in big spots. Now he's over the hill. I suppose he's better than the Vikings' current options, but it just seems like a big waste of time, and a sideshow if they bring him in.
Favre is the definition of a narcissist.

He's real quick to tell everybody what a great player, teammate and overall person he is. It's f*cking sickening. I hope if he comes back that the Packers CRUSH the Vikings both times this year and that Rodgers has a field day while Favre sucks and throws big game-changing INTs. I HATE HIM! :fyou:

 I'm gonna take that side. Part of me wanted to see him come back and get injured in his first game, thus snapping the streak, ruining his vengeance plan and forcing him to limp into retirement. But that there might be better. And watching the media still find reasons to fawn.

Skip Bayless will defend this fagget to the death. I'd love to hear some of his excuses after another 5-int performance while Stephen A. makes an ass out of him.
