So the Marlins can get a retractable roof (and they've needed one) but the Yankees and football Giants can't. They'll bring 30,000 to the ballpark for the first year or two. Then the novely wears off and Florida fans will go back to barely caring. An FSU practice probably creates more of a buzz than a Marlins game.

Umm maybe because it rains everyday in Flordia? It's not needed in New York. Wake up.

If Yankee Stadium had a retractable roof that would be awful!!!! However, the Marlins did desperately need one because it rains every evening in Florida. I've been to about 6 Marlins games down there and 4 of them were delayed by rain, no sh*t. I've been to about 12 Yankee and Muet games combined and I endured simply a fog delay once. That was Mets/Padres back in the end of April of 1991.
