There will be no Cowher Power for the Jets.

Bill Cowher informed the team last night he is not interested in their head-coaching job, and it could be because he doesn't want to coach Brett Favre.

The former Steeler coach was the clear-cut favorite to replace Eric Mangini among Jets fans, and the team's ownership. Now, Woody Johnson must move on to Plan B.

Talks between the Jets and Cowher never advanced past the preliminary stage. The Jets hoped to interview him for the job sometime later this week, but late last night the team released a statement that Cowher had rebuffed their overtures.

"After reaching out to Coach Cowher's representatives, we were informed tonight that he is not a candidate for the position," Jet spokesman Bruce Speight said in an e-mail.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Cowher isn't my first choice but he is a damn good coach and you're telling me the Juets are going to miss out on their most desired target because they don't want to part with a washed-up whore who doesn't want to be here? f*ck this entire organization, it needs to be put out of its misery. They play in the Giants' shadow, they're a joke year in and year out. It's the same nonsense with them.

Earth to Woody and Tannenbum... FAVRE SUCKS!!!!! He threw the most picks this year and quit, QUIT on this team down the stretch when they needed him most because of hurt feelings. And again, he NEVER wanted to be here from the start. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fyou: :furious2:

His loss, I'm not going to lose sleep over this. If the owner wants Bret Favre here I can't help that, he will find a coach who can live with that. I wouldn't mind Rex Ryan at this point, I think honestly he's my personal favorite right now, with maybe Shanny a close 2nd. I'm more for the younger coach. Oh f*ck, who am I kidding, my real first choice would be Tuna but who knows if he wants to even coach again.

Rex Ryan baby!!!!!

Yeah, it's no big deal this organization still doesn't have a clue. I'm used to it but it's still infuriating. Lets keep around the biggest whore in sports. Who was absolutely putrid down the stretch last season. Brilliant decision. Ranks right up there with letting one of the best QBs in the franchise's disgusting history walk, to a division rival, and then coming back to bite us in the ass. This is a joke. Period. Stop with the excuse making.

And stop with the Parcells stuff. He's not a f*cking idiot, there is no way he comes back here to this mess.

Vin is blindly in love with Favre because of what he did half a decade ago. How any Juets fan could watch him play this year and want him back is beyond me. Never mind the fact he's going to be a year older! He's washed up now as it is. Add in another year and maybe 4 or 5 more INT's.

If he comes back I'm putting the over/under at 30 ints and taking the over. He's a gutless, useless piece of shet, who sucks and quit on this team and amazingly our owner and GM want him back!

Even the players are trashing him, which I think is great.
