They might be the greatest group of players ever. They will not quit, no matter what. They would SWEEP the 1998 Yankees. Imagine Jeff Nelson trying to get out Pedroia with the game on the line in Fenway!

Best. Team. Ever.

And another thing, for all the laughing and yukking it up that Upton was doing in the dugout when it was 5-0, he has to catch that ball Kotsay hit. He makes that catch and there's no tie game.

I f*cking love it. I think the D Rays should spend the rest of the game throwing beanballs at Jewkelis and Mini-D's face. That would be awesome..Maybe Papelcock can put on his f*cking skirt and do stupid dances and make asshole faces while half his team gets carted off the field.
I hope you feel really stupid right now. Posting that garbage.

You were probably one of the moron fans that kept saying the Yankees would win the series in 2004. As soon as they lost Game 4, that series was over.

He'd walk him, allow him to reach second on one of his shitty sliders that goes for a wild pitch, and then he'd give up the game-tying RBI single to Youkilis.

This is gonna be a tangent, but...
I didn't read the column myself (I don't read too much and I certainly don't read this coon), but I read on a blog that Scoop Jackson wrote that B.J. Upton is going to attract black kids to baseball because he represents the 'hood and the ghetto kids like his swag. That sh*t was stupid on several levels.
- Upton ain't even the best black player on his team.
- If ghetto kids are rooting for blacks in MLB because of their 'hoodnes, wouldn't Elijah Dukes be the face of black baseball?
- What's 'hood about Upton? He grew up in a nice, suburban neighborhood with David Wright and Ryan Zimmerman. He went to private school. He actually knows his father.
- What swag does he have? And that's another thing. Why has "swag" (short for swagger) become the most popular jigaboo word? You can't go two bars in a 2008 rap song without hearing "swag." And Scoop, sprinkling his sh*t with slang, as if he's hip; as if he's part of young black America. He ain't. And he should stop trying to bite Q-Tip's look from 1999. And fix yo lip, nugga! ... The only thing that differentiates Upton from others, in terms of style, is that he makes a shitload of fielding errors and he loafs more than average. Laziness. It's that what's poppin' in the 'hood? Don't answer that.
- So of all the black players who could've attracted black kids to baseball since black interest began to decline in the 80s, it's gonna be the .273 hitter who got hot in the ALCS. Here's a scoop for Scoop: Niggas ain't even watching the mawf*ckin' playoffs.

Those Yankee teams would have no shot against these Red Sox teams. Then you factor in Pettitte, Clemens, Knobby, and countless others who were steroid injecting cheaters, it wouldn't be close if the Yanks were forced to play clean.

I dont feel stupid. I hope the Rays come out in the next game and throw 50 beanballs at those f*ckers. I dont care if they lose the series, just break as many faces as possible. Thats not too much to ask.

And as for 2004, there is not a single person on this board that thought that series was over in the Red Sox favor after game 4 and anybody who says they did is bullshitting....I knew it was over after game 6.

I knew they were in serious trouble when they lost game 5. And I said going into game 6 they had one shot to win, because if they lost, they would never win game 7....

I knew the 04 ALCS was over after Game 4. You have your foot on these feckers necks you better not let up for a second because if you do, they're grabbing your ankle, knocking you on your ass and then finishing you off.

The 2003 A's, the 2004 Yankees, 2007 Indians and now 2008 Rays all had their feet on the Red Sox' neck and let up and lost (yes, the Rays WILL lose this series). It makes what the 05 White Sox did even more impressive.

Yeah, because they gave you so much reason to believe they could do that after 80 f*cking years of chokejobs. That 04 team hadnt won dick and that franchise gagged on the cock for 8 decades....

But you knew that was going to happen..

Can I have the lottery numbers for this weekends draw, Nostradamus?

This f*cking series is over, what a disgraceful choke job, with a 7-0 lead in the 7th of Game 5 up 3-1, almost if not equally as bad as our choke job in 2004. Terrible.

They are almost as good as the Yankees from 96-00, still one of the great dynasties of all time. The Sox will never equal the four titles in 5 years, but yes, they are one hell of a f*cking team and they never quit.

And nobody thought the series was over after Game 4 in 2004. Did that loss hurt? Yeah, every and any loss in the playoffs hurt in my book. Like BC2 said, after Game 6 is when you truly thought, okay, this sh*t is f*cking over.

Anyway, the Rays aren't dead yet. They are going home and they have to look at it like okay, we took 2 out of 3 in Fenway against the Big bad Red Sox. We will get through this and take it one inning at a time and win this f*cking thing on our home turf. The Red Sox didn't win anything but chance to keep fighting after last night. They have momentum, but we know how momentum is in baseball, it's only as good as your next days pitchers. Should be a fun watch.

People who think the Rays aren't finished are fooling themselves. They had the Red Sox beat but their stupid manager and that gutless piece of garbage Grant Balfour (who has pitched like shet this series) lost it for them. Both deserve ass whippings after Boston destroys them these next two games.

The Sox are only half way there right now, still need two more wins. The Sox could very well win the series, wouldn't shock me one bit. But I wouldn't be shocked if the Rays come out and won the series. Lots of questions still for the Sox. How is Lester going to respond after getting bombed. What about Beckett? Is he going to pitch? If he does how will he pitch? How bad is he hurt? The Rays have questions as well. How will these young kids respond? How will Maddon handle turning it over to the pen and where does he go, they obviously don't have a true go to guy solidified closer. How will Shields and Sonnanstine respond to the pressure. It's going to be interesting, but it's silly to just laugh and say the Sox are going to win this series. If I was a betting man I would have taken the Sox before the series started, but I can't tell you right now still down 3-2 even after coming off that comeback in Game 5 that I could bet the Sox now. I still have to lean Rays at this point.

Ruays in 6.

The Rays are done, period. If they had gotten their brains beat in like I expected them to, I'd give them a decent chance of maybe pulling this out, because you lose say 10-0, you get your ass kicked and move on. These idiots had the game and series won and they choked like a virgin on prom night.

Not only did they pathetically and stupidly cough up a 7-0 lead with 9 outs to go but they get a whole day to think about what they did. They will respond by losing. Beckett is not going to get shelled a third time and even if he does, the Rays' pitiful bullpen will blow the game. Shields and Sonnanstine will each get bombed and I guarantee that Lester pitches a gem in Game 7. What happened in Game 3 will not happen to him again this post season.

We shall see. I can't dispute what you said, but I don't thing it's a "sure" thing like you seem to feel it is. I think this one could go either way, but the Sox are only halfway home and the Rays are one game away and going home. I have to take them. I will gladly come back here Sunday night and admit I was wrong if they don't.

On a side note. Sheilds vs. Beckett in Game 6, that should be good. I just saw that on the Rays site. I'm very interested to see what Beckett comes out. I mean that's going to be the most interesting thing of the night I think. If he's on and healthy, oh man forget it, you are talking along with guys like El Duque, Schilling, Jack Morris...big time money October pitchers. Obviously something isn't right though, but maybe he pulls one out and is back to his dominant self, should be very fun.

My Rays are going to the series. Bank on it.

Lucky comeback by the Saux, but look at that team. They are old and breaking down left and right. Lowell?, Papi?, Veritek?, Beckett? OLD!@ Kinda reminds me of the Skanks..... ;)
