A realistic "Do-Able" plan for the offseason: Yanks sign Sabathia or Burnett, Plus Moose. They trade Marte, Betemit and a mid level prospect for Nick Johnson. They sign Cameron to a 2 yr deal (Giving enough time to "season" CF prospect ActionJackson). Let Ransom be your utility infielder and Gardner your 4th Outfielder/Pinch runner/Defensive Replacement. Miranda is your bat off the bench (I'm open to signing someone better for this). Melancon joins the pen. Sabathia or Burnett Wang Joba Mussina Hughes or Aceves or Coke Mo Melancon Coke Veras Aceves Bruney Edwar/Albaladejo/Giese/Sanchez WhoreHey Posada C Johnson 1st Cano 2nd Jeta SS Arod 3rd Damon LF Cameron CF Nady RF Matsui DH Molina Backup Catcher Ransom Utility Infielder Gardner 4th Outfield/Pinch Run Miranda or ? Bat on the bench plus great depth at AAA Done. |

Nick Johnson? Did I see Nick Johnson in there? :-| I don't like the rotation (put me on record for not wanting Burnett unless he comes with Sabathia) with Hughes or Aceves or Coke at the back end. f*ck all of them. I don't give a f*ck what Coke did in September spring training. And I certainly don't give a f*ck about Phil Hughes' doing well in his last start. It's laughable that he'd cocktease ya'll like that. And that lineup has no power. You've got one guy (A-Rod) who you can count on, with certainty, for 30 homers and/or 100 RBIs. The only other guy who you could maybe think you'd get that out of is Matsui, and that's counting on him to stay healthy, which hasn't happened. Or maybe Nady. But he's about a career .280 hitter who never approached .300 or 100 RBIs (still hasn't gotten it) until this year and he went into a major tailspin at the end with the Yankees, hitting .268 here. It's optism if you pencil him in for more than .290/20 homers next season. And f*cking Nick Johnson. f*ck Nick Johnson. f*ck his career. That chump is 30 and has yet to play an injury-free season. He played 38 games last year. He's also not a run-producer. If signed, WHEN he gets injured, what's behind him? 110 games of the Ransom/Miranda plattoon or Matsui pinch-fielding at first base? That offense would be disgustingly, embarassingly, bad. After a year like this, after the lineup gagged on big tranny cock, bringing in Nick Johnson and Blackness Cameron could only make it worse. They'd be better off bringing Abreu back and DHing him. They need a REAL addition to the offense. Manny. And I'm not on the Texeira bandwagon, but f*ck it, I'd rather spend on Teixeira than get Mr. Fragility or Mook Cameron. Or trade for someone. Someone who makes an impact. Not these fourth-tier mother f*ckers. This isn't the Pirates or, hey, Nicky's current team, the f*cking Nationals. |
