Would you trade Cano and Kennedy (or Matsui) for Peavy and then sign Orlando Hudson? I would. Word is Peavy's available.

CC or Burnett
Peavy
Wang
Joba
Aceves or Hughes or Coke

f*ck yeah, and I would LOVE to get the slick fielding Orland Hudson in here. Plus he is a decent bat as well, usually hits around 290ish and hits a few knocks. I like him a lot.

It would take more than that. Considering Cano just re-upped and makes a decent glob of guap, it wouldn't be that much of a salary-cut move for the Padres. And considering that that team is going to have to built around pitching, Cano wouldn't (shouldn't) have as much value to them as he would some other teams. And considering Ian Kennedy is absolutely worthless and should have no value to anyone who isn't related to him or isn't a direct beneficiary of his income.
