WE NEED TO GET YOUNGER AS WELL AS BETTER! I want no part of lying druggie Pettite. Now that he's off the juice, he's terrible. You know he's going to want $16mil again. That cash can be much better applied to Sabathia or Burnett. Sign Mussina for 1-2yrs at 10mil per. Trade/release Betemit (as a util infielder, Ransom is much better in all areas) Sign Sabathia and Texiera. (If we miss on Sabathia, sign Burnett). Also sign Kotsay for 2yrs to play center, until Action Jackson is ready. Offer Abreu arbitration and when he declines, we get the draft picks. Trade Marte for Prospects. Trade/Release: Betemit, Traber Demote Rasner Release Ponson Say Goodbye to Giamroid, Abreu, Pavano, Pudge and Pettite Sabathia/Burnett Wang Joba Mussina Hughes (With Aceves & Coke as insurance) Mo Veras Aceves Melancon Coke Bruney Edwar (Insurance: Geese, Kennedy, Alba, Humberto, Horne, Britton, Igawa) Damon - LF Jeter - SS Arod - 3rd Texiera - 1st Nady - RF Matsui -DH Posada - C Cano - 2nd Kotsay - CF Bench: Miranda Ransom Gardner Molina Solid all around. . . (Bytheway, I'd love to sign Sabathia, Burnett, Texiera AND Manny but these guys will all be in high demand from many clubs so I don't think that's realistic. If we end up signing one of the two big pitchers and Manny, let Manny DH and move Matsui to 1st. He can't be any worse than Giamroid). :peace: |

I'd be shocked if Gardner couldn't put up Mark Kotsay numbers. He's been terrible for like 4 years now. |

He's better than Melky and Gardner. Consider him an inexpensive option (because we will spend big $$$$ elsewhere) until Action Jackson's ready. |

I agree with pretty much everything you said other then Kotsay. If we're looking for a stop gap in CF I'd be more interested in a guy like Cameron who K's a ton but is still a top notch defensive CF. |

I'm ok with Cameron as long as he doesn't cost too much. :peace: |

I'm seriously rooting against Austin Jackson because of ya'll. Really, the dickriding of that guy has become sickening. I can't wait until he comes up here and hits .230. And if anybody is wondering, yes, I'm that kinda douchebag. I'll root for someone on my team to do poorly just to shut fans up. All these assholes calling Eli the best QB in the game (oh yes, since the 3-0 start, they've taken it a step farther from top 3 to #1), I'll be calmed a little after his 4-INT performance by the fact that a few dipshits are shutting the f*ck up with that nonsense. |

When do you actually get any enjoyment out of sports? You said the Giants winning the Super Bowl lasted about a day so I don't get it. |

I don't think saying "until Jackson is ready" is dick riding. Unless traded he's obviously going to be given a shot suck or succeed, so I don't think there is anything wrong with accepting it as an inevitability. |

F*ck it, I guess I'll post what I would try to do, i'm bored at work. I want Matsui playing first if possible and as much as possible. If he can't play first trade him, seriously. Respectfully explain to him that the organization will do the best they can to find him a place he likes, but ultimately if he does not accept a trade he will be fighting for playing time with Damon or flat out coming off the bench. I'd keep Cano. If the Giants wanted him and were willing to give up Cain I'd listen. Same with LA if they would trade Billingsley or Kershaw. I don't see any of those three pitchers becoming available though. Manny RF/DH 3 years 60+ mill or so. CC Whatever he wants... Burnett 3/46 Trade: Kennedy, Betemit, Miranda maybe Mussina back for 1 more go, Pettitte gone 1)Damon LF/DH 2)Jeter SS 3)A-Rod 3B 4)Manny RF/DH 5)Matsui 1B/DH 6)Nady LF/RF 7)Cano 2B 8)Posada C/1B/DH 9)Gardner CF 1)CC 2)Joba 3)Wang 4)Burnett 5)Mussina 6)Hughes CL)Rivera RHSU)Melancon LHSU)Marte MR)Bruney MR)Veras LHLR)Coke RHLR)Hughes/Aceves/Ramirez Bench Melky Ransom Molina Betemit/Miranda/Pena Is anyone else bored by this? These plans don't really make us smart. Literally any team in baseball that added CC, Burnett, and Manny would become a playoff team. |

And sadly he will most likely suck, just like almost every piece of sh*t we bring up through the system. |

Most MLB players in general initially suck. In fact most continue to suck. |

That boy really strikes me as a Josh Howard type. A southern, grits and biscuit-eatin' shithead who probably smokes weed regularly. Except he won't be the baseball equivalent of what Howard is as a basketball player. And he's hitting .285 this season with a shitload of strikeouts, so I don't see what's there to get excited about. Posted Image This nugga should be playing basketball. Hell, he'd probably rather be playing basketball. But them crackaz thought he'd be good at this baseball sh*t and were willing to put some money in his pocket. Enough for him to purchase bling, buy a pound of piff every week, and stunt for the bitches. I bet he steps to the batter's box with some sh*t like, "Wipe Me Down" playing. I would say Lil' Wayne, but it ain't dumb-country-coon enough. |

The park the thunder play in is apparently a nightmare to hit in. Cano for example hit .280 with no power his first season there. Jackson hit .311 with a .496 slugging %(21 doubles, 4 tripples, 7 homeruns) on the road this year. That with his numbers from last year, his glove, the fact that he can actually take a walk, and his athleticism are why people like him. Like any prospect, he'll probably suck, especially at first, but that applies to pretty much everybody not named Ken Griffey Jr or Doc Gooden. I feel like its redundant to even say. I figure he'll suck the first year and then i can see him settling into a nice .270, .350, .450 hitter who hits 15-20 HR and steals 30 bases, with a very nice glove in CF. Sort of a Torri Hunter type in a typical non career-year. Outside shot of ending up Bernie Williams or Ruben Rivera. |
