Oh how I'd love to see Papelbon blow it.

I want this game, I know we have no chance but damn it I want this game and from here just take it a game at a time and try to win as many as we can. At least if we get to Fenway down 3 games or less we have some sort of miracle chance still in the bag.

It would be sweet seeing Papelbon lose the final Yanks/Sox game at the Stadium. It's obvious the season's over, but we can still have fun.

Exactly, and I can still hope for the near impossible!

Jason keeps things ticking for at least another day, nice win. I'll take it, especially off that douchebag.

Well, at least we can say we won the final game at Yankee Stadium against the Sox. It's nice that it's off Papelbon.

So Giambi was the whole f*cking show today and he didn't even start, this lineup is pathetic.

Girardi sits Giambi no matter what lefty is starting, it's a joke.

Then he pinch hits him against a lefty. Makes no sense. The moves and things Girardi does just never make any sense.

A glimmer might be kind, but needless to say Giambi kept this team on life support today. I guess the way you have to look at it is this, if they gain 3 more games on Boston between now and the final weekend series they go in with a punchers chance and you take it game by game in that series. Do I think it will happen? Of course not, not with the way this team has looked all year, but needless to say I guess it's something to root for.

Giambi deserves a three-year extension based on this game.

It wouldn't shock me if Cashman does something idiotic like that.

It's almost as bad as Giradi having Cano try two bunt attemps and getting into an 0-2 count. Does Giradi know that Cano can NOT, REPEAT: CANNOT BUNT.... :no1:

:please: It's not just Boston. Minnesota's ahead of us for the wild card too. Give it up Vinbo. Yer gonna give yourself an ulcer. :wall:

Cano doesn't even know how to hold the bat when bunting. And yet judging from the results, they didn't even work with him on such a glaring deficiency... Pathetic! :fyou:
