As if Karstens wasn't bad enough, LaTroy Hawkins is pitching in his 8th game since being released by the Yanks. Hawkins has thrown five full innings, giving up no runs, only two hits, and he has struck out 11.

Cashman gets hosed again! :gaysmile:

I'd tend to agree regarding Hawkins because of the sample size and inconsistent career, but not necessarily Karstens. When healthy, Karstens contributed in New York as a rookie. He fell too far behind the others on the depth chart both because of injuries and not having as dynamic stuff, and was therefore never given another legitimate chance to prove himself.
