Raznor sucks. I loved it on SportsCenter when they broke down the AL East race and showed the pitch pitchers for the Rays, Sox and Yanks. They mentioned Sheilds going for Tampa. Dice-K going for the Sox. Then paused as they named Darrell Rasner as the Yankees starter. Many laughs were had in that studio. |

That lineup is more like it. It's too bad I won't see Gooksui's return, but I'll be listening to the great Sterling. :dj: |

I'm not pouring my heart into this game or team right now, I will watch but keep it on in the background and keep busy doing something else. Anyway, this is a big game. Tonight is HUGE, you want to go into that Halladay game just wanting to be greedy and getting a split, you don't want to go into that game needing it. Big one tonight against Burnett. Love the lineup by the way. |

Damon walk, Abreu an RBI double and everyone else K's. That will probably be the end of tonight's offense. |

Remember when Damon caught everything his way in Beantown? No matter how weird and awkward he looked with that posture of his, he always ran balls down in the gap, leaped over fences, and held onto balls no matter how banged up he got, including one that lead to him suffering a concussion. He comes here and can't hold onto a thing. |

ANOTHERRRRRRRRRRRRR dropped ball by Damon! Ball off the side of his glove. That costs us a run and probably the game!!! 2-1 Toronto. :furious2: |

They are probably gonna still win this game though. Just doesn't feel like a loss. Can't explain it |

What a putz. When A-Rod headed to 2nd, I was thinking, "Overbay is just about to get it. STOP" Now it feels like a loss |

Leiter is sucking Overbay's balls, but you could see that coming. That's not a chance worth taking IMO. He wasn't around 1st when Overbay was near the ball |

Well, I did everything right. I bet Toronto to win, but not to win by more than 1 run. Good for me, but what a poor performance. I really didn't sense this was a loss |

It was a nice play by Overbay. He had to get to that ball, turn and make a perfect throw, which he did. Can't fault A Rod for forcing the issue and trying to make something happen. With the way these guys hit you have to take those kinds of chances. I didn't think it was a terrible play by A Rod as much I would love to hammer him and the rest of these soft losers. |

Overbay is a solid defensive 1B though. A-Rod wasn't a few steps around 1st and he wasn't even hustling out of the box. You could see Overbay was around to get the ball when A-Rod hauled ass to 2nd. Seemed like sh*t baserunning to me, although it didn't matter in the end. |

After watching the replay I have to agree with you that A Rod was not hustling out of the box which definitely contributed to the outcome of the play. But again, if Overbay does not make a perfect play then A Rod is still safe. Nothing goes the Yankees way these days. Girardi certainly has the touch doesn't he? When his head isn't in one of those binders he makes a "gut" decision. And seems to be wrong virtually every single time. Hey, let's start Damon in center today!! Wrong.....as usual. |

How was it perfect though? A-Rod was out by a bunch. It wasn't like Overbay made a cannon throw and got A-Rod by a step or A-Rod had a huge break to 2nd when overbay got the ball. I think Yankee fans are jaded because they haven't seen 1B played well in awhile |

It was a perfect play because of how much A Rod was out by. The ball fell in and was rolling away from Overbay towards the foul line and beyond. Overbay has to chase it down with his back to the infield turn and then make a perfect throw to second. All of which he did. And it was a really strong throw if not a cannon throw. A rod has to take that chance there IMO. The Yankees do not have a first baseman that makes that play. :no1: |

Are you talking about Damon's second dropped ball blooper??? If so, that's ridiculous. The ball was off the side of his glove and should have been caught! Damon himself admitted as much. :dunno: |
