The fans are dead and I don't blame them. A single wins the game and they are silent. |

I hope the Royals score like 6 runs off Robertson, just so I can make fun of Homie. |

Rob Bertson is gonna get the win. God forbid the Yankees lose when I have good money on them to lose. They will lose when I bet a fair amount for them to lose, but they'll pull the game out of their ass when I bet more than usual |

Exactly. The way they've constantly struggled with and played even baseball with the lowly Royals, you know they are not a good team. |

You have to love when supposed diehard fans bet against their own team. I'm glad you lost your money for being such a traitor. |

I want Gardner's ass kicked. He was going ballistic celebrating like he did something heroic. I'm betting on the Yankees tomorrow, just so he can go back to his 0 for 4 and looking absolutely clueless at the plate. I'm disappointed at my boy, Dejesus there. You gotta throw out Cano at the plate there. |

If you're going to bet (which I don't because I hate the thought of even losing a penny) you have to use your head, not your heart. I'm sure LFW like all of us wants this team to win, he just knows that they suck and isn't going to let being a fan get in the way of what he thinks is a smart bet. |

All in all, it's paid off betting against the Yankees. But between their 5-0 comeback against Lackey and today, Grienke vs Ponson with underdog odds, I didn't clean up like I should have. They'd never comeback again off Lackey and Ponson is pitching as well as he possibly can. |

I've had friends rationalize it like that and I don't buy it. You want to bet games not involving the team you love, ok. You want to bet your team winning, ok. Betting against your team, I don't buy any excuses about might as well make money so you feel better when they lose. It's a joke. |

I have a good amount on the Tigers against Baltimore tonight. That Sarfate, who looks like cock and walks everyone, against Verlander, who is due for a good start. I can't see Baltimore winning that. I had 10 in a row prior to the Yankees f*cking me two straight games. |

The rare times when I do bet I don't bet on games the Yankees are playing simply because even though I know at times it would be the right thing to do I wouldn't want to bet against them, so I see where you're coming from. To each their own. I don't agree with betting against your team but I'm not going to say somebody is less of a fan because of it. I have plenty of friends who are diehard Yankee fans bet against the team before only to have the Yankees win and they're still thrilled about that in the end. |

I'm not thrilled about them winning. They deserve the embarrassment of being swept or at least losing 2 of 3 versus the Royals. I could careless about some subjective standard of what is a fan and what is not. The biggest bullshit I ever experienced was betting 500 on the Red Sox in Game 7 in 04. I didn't have a doubt in my mind Boston was winning that series after Game 5. But they can negate the bet if things change. When Lowe started on 2 days rest instead of the scheduled starter, whom they made the odds for, Wakefield, they nullified all bets and started new odds. BULLSHIT |

 He probably figures he'll never get another hit that big again in his career so he might as well celebrate now. I don't know, usually I'd get mad but I just can't get angry about anything with this team lately. Not worth it. |

Only bets are keeping me from doing something else with my time. Maybe it's not worth it. I should just bet on football and stop the baseball sh*t. Maybe if I get into a little slump and it's not worth it to bet anymore, I'll stop |

I had no doubt was winning after Mo and Torre blew game 4. You could just see the way the series was going after that. Most gutless effort I've ever seen by any team. |

Football will pull your hair out with the spread though. Vegas knows what they are doing. Baseball spreads are ALWAYS 1.5 runs. It's pretty simple in that regard. Maybe that's why I like betting on it so much. Imagine Josh Beckett vs Ed Yarnall coming out of retirement. The spread would still be 1.5. You might get favorite odds at 2 to 1, but that'd still be free money. If there's an NFL equivalent of that matchup, the spread is 20-30 points. Not so simple then |
