He's starting to go the route of Torre and Jeter. The longer they stick around, the more you realize how they rode the coattails of others to glory.

1 - Nelson
2 - Stanton
3 - Mariano

In that order.

He's also responsible for the turn of fortunes of the Yankees and Red Sox. Once again, another guy I say "thanks" to for '96-'00. Now, he can go to the deepest part of hell and f*ck himself like the little bitch he is.

Hyperbole aside, what he's does in tied game completly negates the fact he's not blown a save this year.

- Mo blew the Cleveland series in 97.
- Mo blew the 2001 World Series, a whole city in heartache on his shoulders and he choked on a cactus in AZ.
- Mo blew back to back saves in the 2004 ALCS, and singlehandedly let the Red Sox come back from 3-0 down.

Take Mo, and shove him up yer ass!!!!!!

Exactly what I said earlier.

YOU SHOW SOME DAMN RESPECT, DAMMIT! THIS TEAM WOULDN'T HAVE WON ANYTHING IF NOT FOR MARIANO. EASILY THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER DURING THE DYNASTY. BUT YOU, LIKE MANY OTHER MORONS HERE, ARE OBVIOUSLY TOO RETARDED TO REMEMBER FARTHER BACK THAN YESTERDAY. YOU'RE AN INGRATE AND AN EMBARASSMENT TO INTELLIGENT YANKEES FANS.

On a serious tip: I've been calling Mariano overrated before ya'll realized his sh*t didn't taste like penne alla vodka. So all of ya'll can shut the f*ck up. It's too late to jump off the bandwagon.

On a serious note though, getting to what Vin posted:

I said all of that after Game 4 and everybody except Strider flipped out. "It isn't Mo's fault," and all that other nonsense. So all I can say is... :please: I was on that bandwagon long ago.

I'm pissed off about the loss too, we can't watch Ponson get lucky as hell............only to see Mariano pull a Flash Gordon on us! That said.........lets not get ridiculous here. EVERY PLAYER has their feck ups, some ALOT more than others. Mo does have a penchant for suckiness in tie games..but he is by NO MEANS overrated! Where was that Cabana boy A Rod all night, or that lip licking piece of sheeet that they couldn't score 1 effing run, never mind 2!
