Like Rob said, "I don't care if I sound like a greedy f*ck Yankee fan," I loathe this guy coming up in any sort of big spot. He gets himself out before he even steps to the plate. He didn't see anything good out of Sherrill, especially to warrant getting struck out, and yet all he could f*cking do was be way out in front and hit a grounder off his toe. Good work A-Cock.

A-Hole has no exuse. It's pathetic. You can't defend the guy, just can't. Manny hits a home run there, our $300 million whore looks like a lost little leaguer. Inexcusable.

The thing that seperates A-Rod from the other superstars is, in general, you have to work to get them out. With A-Rod, you can throw a couple hangers, some really bad balls, have a fastball tail over the middle of the plate, and he can still walk back to the bench with 3 strikes to his name.

It's not so much the hittable pitches that he misses (Jeter, even when he's hitting over .300, is the most guilty of that - balls that are born to be line driven he tops over on for ground balls), it's the absolute sh*t pitches he chases. That's why I disagreed with whoever it was making the argument for him being the best hitter we've seen. No way. A-Rod said himself several years ago - I think he was with the Rangers - that for a guy who produces as much as him and hits for as much power, his strikeout and walk totals should at least be reversed. He's walked 100x just once in his career and he's on pace to walk about 60 times this year. That's absurd for someone with his power and reputation. Free swinging works for guys like Pujols and Vlad because they usually don't strike out more than 70 times a year. You'll see A-Rod chase f*cking pitches a foot outside or way up in the zone. I was reading some rap sh*t during the "comeback" attempt (which I knew would fall short) but I glanced over during his at bat and I think he struck out on a pitch that was about up to his mouth.

I'm OK with A-Rod for the next 4-5 years. I dread the back end of that contract when he's making $30M/year to do the same stupid sh*t, minus the whooping production. And don't nobody come in here talking that mess about how he takes care of himself and he's an Adonis and yakkity-yak and 40 will be his new 30. Shut the f*ck up with that jive. He might not have a Tom Seaver-with-the-White-Sox gut, but he'll decline, just like all the others. A-Rod is someone who, in large part, gets away with flaws in his offensive game because of his immense talent. When that talent deteriorates, it ain't gonna be sweet. When he's 41 and hitting .265 with 20 homers and you realize that he can't be moved and they've got him for another two years at $60M, that's when you'll be pissed. So save your ire, House.

Absolutely Strider. I looked his walk totals up last week, since I get so frustrated at how he refuses to take walks sometimes when you can tell if he was just slightly patient up there he would be on first easily. The strikeouts wouldn't even be so bad for the caliber of hitter he is.

The thing is this guy costs us games in his prime. He isn't worth the money this year. Who knows if he'll ever earn it on a given year. Well, going with his pattern, he will next year(although not hit in the playoffs) and then suck the next and so forth
