Is anybody listening to this interview with Lenny Dykstra? He doesn't let him talk!!!! Also, he refuses to admit he was wrong on Joba. A caller called in a few days ago and mentioned how great the bullpen has been without Joba, and Mike got all defensive! Saying Joba has been "decent" as a starter, and still thinks he's better off as a closer! "He was dynamic as a reliever, dynamic. As a starter hasn't been as good as you would like." What!? He's 22 years old and has a 2.64 ERA pitching in the American League!! Not his fault he isn't getting runs. Then a caller called in today and all he said was that tonight should be a fun night with Joba vs Beckett, and Mike jumped all over him saying "let's not make Joba something he's not." Joba isn't Beckett. Joba isn't in the class of Beckett. And all this other bullshet about his record being 2-3. Again, he's fecking 22 years old!! Look at Beckett's numbers at age 22 in the National League. Then he went on and on about how Pettitte is the Ace of the staff. Francessa is the epitome of the stupid moronic casual fan. |

Do like I did, stop listening to his show. Don't contribute to his ratings or get worked up over his ignorance. Strider helped me see the light and I haven't watched or listened in almost a year. You can do it |

That's like not buying gas for a day, plus as much as he pisses me off it's like a train wreck, so I might as well watch and listen. |

Gas is a necessity. Listening to an idiot is not. It pisses me off at society in general too, because he has no business getting away with his condescending tone to all his listeners. His viewers and listeners still keep turning in to make him a millionaire despite all the idiocy and arrogance. Just doesn't make sense |

I love it, Joba sucks, but Arroyo is the answer to our needs. Callers have to start calling this imbecile out on his stupidity rather than agreeing with it. |

Why? So he can cut them off, insult them, and then act holier than thou? I'd beat the sh*t out his wife just for marrying him |

He can't cut you off if you don't him the time. Call in, make your point, hang up. If he tries shouting over you, shout over him. That's how I look at it. Some callers do it, just not enough. |

The problem is he can spend all the time he wants talking down to you and everyone on the radio will think he was in the right. He controls what he wants. |

I thought New Yorkers were tough and took no sh*t? Then why is it Francesca is still alive? He'll be on Monday as if Beckett tossed a shutout and Joba was lucky as hell |

Anyone remember when they "fired" Shockey, because he never appeared on their show in his timeslot on time? They acted like they were the boss of bosses. I remember him saying something like "What's Shockey going to do? Hit me? I've been here long before Jeremy Shockey and I'll be here long after" Stuff that basically should make rational society realize there is a place for violence, when people use that sh*t to act like assholes. If I had Shockey's money, I'd drop a few 100 Ks to have him killed. But I'm sure Shockey could give a sh*t about those guys, as do most athletes. |

He's not a pimple on Shockey's ass, just like he's not a pimple on Strahan's and it burns him (and the angry little puppy) deep inside knowing that those two could give a shet what he thinks. |

Isn't it really annoying for athletes to give interviews every single day answering the same questions from people with little knowledge of what you do? I feel like I would LOVE it the first year and then it would bother me. If Mike and the Mad Dog refuse to interview a person how is that anything but a favor to that person? |

Exactly. I remember listening in one time early in the year when he was sh*t adamant about Joba not being moved into the rotation. He insisted that the Yankees needed him in the bullpen and they've "found their bridge to Mo." Ignoring the fact that the guy was brought up as a starter and was supposed to be a starter. That thinking is equivalent to a parent not wanting their kid promoted to fourth grade because he got straight As in third grade. "Ya know, why mess with a good thing?" It's that stupid. I'm sure them two clowns were nothing but a locker room joke to Shockey. As immature as he is, there's no way he even took them seriously enough to give a f*ck. |

Mike Franscesa is one of those fans that think they are watching a movie and not a sporting event. He thinks Pettitte is Chet Stedman from rookie of the year and he'll magically be great in a big spot because of "experience" and "knowing how to win". Joba on the other hand is young and throws hard, so obviously he will cry and throw the ball over the back stop in a big game. He says stuff like "you can't predict a great playoff pitcher like Beckett. Its not about stuff, you basically have to get lucky to get a pitcher that can do that in the playoffs" he actually says this! Its a sport moron! The better pitcher is the better pitcher! |
