Nah. He played it dumb by starting with K-Rod, but he put Rivera in a situation where all he could do was pick up a win. K-Rod's run was on the line there. I think Francona is actually an OK guy, which is sad, because I want to hate

Yea but it's his house. He had to do it and was successful. This was his game.

I know, but as I see, you don't do anything more than the average you'd do in a regular game. He pitches an inning on average, right? And starts that inning. Why have him getting up, pitching, sitting down, warm up, pitching in a game whose result benefits the Red Sox, most likely.
