VC 4 Life. Posts: 21,367 Group: VC_Members Member #56 Joined: April 28, 2004	Well, the second best game of 2008 is out and now I finally have something to play on my PS3 besides MLB 08 The Show. Got a couple great reviews already. IGN gave it a 10. 1up gave it an A-. If you've played and enjoyed the past games defintely check it out.

The Dark Side Posts: 33,036 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: January 29, 2004	I'm thinking of getting it, but I'm not sure. I loved Metal Gear Solid. I didn't like MSG 2 that much because of Raiden. And I could never get into Snake Eater, I found it lame and extremely boring. I basically paid $55 for cutscenes and dialog with a little gameplay mixed in.

Posts: 21,367 Group: VC_Members Member #56 Joined: April 28, 2004	Well if I did I have two gripes it'd be the mandatory 8 minute install before you can play the game (seriously, why the f*ck do I have to wait to play the game? This isn't a PC) and the cutscenes are still long in this game. The gameplay is awesome and there is a bit more of it than the last game but it does seem like most of the time you are watching movies. Fortunately I like the story and the cutscenes are cool but it's definitely not for everybody. If you didn't like MGS 3 I'd suggest saving your $60 and wait for Gears of War 2 which hopefully comes out this year.

The fcking thing thinks it's a PC." But he was pleased by the fact that it saves quickly. I only played it for a minute and it seems OK. My biggest gripe is that the A-rabs sound like Americans. When they're getting shot and they scream, they sound way too American. You almost expect one of them to yell, "Dude, what the fck? You shot me, bro!" I'd have said fck it and had the voice actors scream, "Halah-haalaaaa, muck-halaaaaaaaa, Allah, Jih <hocks up phlegm> haaaaaaaaad. Lalalalalalalala." Put some subtitles under that. I stopped playing video games about two years ago. I'd become just a Madden-player and then I bought '07, played twice for a few minutes and got bored. Gave up and threw it in a drawer. But I'm tempted to give it another try. My purchase of the PS3 will depend on the new Madden (which probably has Favre as a hidden character rated 99).

Put some subtitles under that. :laugh2: That's a good point though, too many times in games they have Arabs or Japanese or whatever speaking English. By the way, I don't know if the new Madden will be worth spending $400+. That series has sucked for a while now. Last one I enjoyed was 05.
