Aside from the Torre stuff...

Get me a 1st baseman....please....an everyday feckin 1B ala Tino , hell if you wanna let Andy Phillips get 500 AB's I'M ALL FOR IT.

Get the following outta my face - Giambi, Mussina, Matsui, Posada GET THEM ALL THE FECK OUTTA HERE

Don't Sign Rowand or Hunter - go the route of trade ala getting Scott Brosius....go get a guy or two who we raise our eyebrows at..like EVERYONE did for Scotty B ...get me two gamers and a Catcher to complement Molina.

Move Joba to the rotation and go - Wang, Pettite, Hughes, Joba, Kennedy GIVE ME A YOUNG STAFF ALA Detroit 2 years ago...

Most important - Bring back the feeling of gratification and accomplsihment - we have none of that ...why? because we're expected to win , because of our payroll ...we cannot celebrate what we did this season, which when you look at how far we were out was impressive. Only two less wins than Boston.

Lets go into ST as "Unknowns"

I can't really dissagree with anything you said. As annoying as Giambi and Matsui can be at times, I think you have to keep one. I also like Betemit a bit more than Phillips, but other than that I agree with everything you said.

I like Betemit a lot, I wouldn't mind him being the everyday 1B, but with his weakness from the right side why not let a young Hass like Shelly get those ABs. He's not young young, but he's what 28 or 29, live bat like Spencer. I wouldn't mind him getting 250 ABs next year.

I like all three. I think Betemit is the most productive all around, but Shelly is an exciting masher type, and Phillips is a very solid, sound type player who won't hit for as much power or be on base as much as Betemit, but will strikeout less and make more (though less significant) contact.

Keep Matsui for heaven's sake.....His season was a good, but his numbers are better than Travis Haftner for pete sakes....and that' the Indians number one dude....

I'll take Eye Chart at 1st base. His defense is unparalleled and he hits a little too. Plus he's a gamer; will run through a wall if that's what it takes to win.
