Donnie is absolutely 100% the wrong man for this job. Just give me Torre back if you are thinking of going that route. It's either Bobby V or Girardi, period./ Don't talk to me about anybody else. |

:please: That was ultra-cool when Bobbie did that. No other manager would have had the balls to do it. The Donnie-Popups wouldn't have even thought of it! That said, I think no dought Girardi's the man for the job (although mike/mad-dog seem to think Donnie's gonna get it). :peace: |

One might say it's been all downhill since Zimmer's departure. |

They don't though. Most of them blame it on Giambi. Some blame it on A-Rod. Rarely are actual factors in the Yankees fall from the top brought up during these conversations. |

KNOCK IT OFF schmuck! Donnie Baseball doesn't deserve to be treated this way. Not that I think he's ready to manage this team, but i will say this....his decisions could be no worse that that tea sipping son of a sailor who took one of the luckiest rides in sports history with this franchise! |

And one would be correct to assume that. Torre's decisions have gotten worse and worse each year since Zim has been gone. My comment about Donnie was more of a sarcastic one. Though I'll stick to my guns and say I don't want him to manage the team. I just can't see him doing a good job. |

Bobby V sucks and he's such a ham over here. He's constantly hamming it up on TV to get exposure and he's made some commercials. He must be loving it over here. :no1: |

Not for nothing ...but Mattingly hasn't even done something to "Question " his abilities, and you wanna put this stupid clueless hick persona on him. I'm not saying he is ready to be the manager. I'm not saying he deserves the chance yet! What I am saying is he should at least be given some respect till he proves he doesn't DESERVE it, and so far he has done nothing to prove that he is as incompetent on the bench as Torre proved to be. Torre showed on MANY occasions why he had a losing managerial record before he came to the Yankees! His extremely poor management skills only exascerbated the poor bullpen and starting rotation issues, among other things. I would MUCH prefer Girardi or Mazzilli, in that order, to Valentine or LaRussa! In fact, I prefer Buck Showalter to LaRussa. And all of the people mentioned are better managers than Torre for sure with the possible exception of Mazzilli, but I am willing to give him the chance before Bobby V. |

I loved Donny growing up but would any other team in MLB consider him for a Manager spot right now? Perhaps he needs to go manage in AAA and then come back in a year or 2. The same things we kill Joe for, Donny will probably do. (mismanage a pitching staff, no fire etc.) |

Did anyone here pay attention to Zimmer’s moves when he managed? If you did you wouldn’t be making these statements. I’m surprised no one mentioned Larry Bowa. He is the personification of the VC. |
