I actually feel bad for Torre right now, I'm going to watch his interview and then turn this sh*t. It's been a great 12 years. The last few not so great, but before that; oh man what a run. Thank you Mr. Torre, but it's time to move on. |

He should move on himself, remove his name as Manager and don't let George embarass him. I am sure they will give him an advisor job or a broadcast job at YES. |

Joe was the right man at the right time for the dynasty teams. As big a part he was of that to the media, it was more the players. Just like this losing has been more on the players. But unfortunately for Torre, his inability to make good in-game decisions has really been exposed. I don't feel bad for him, he had a great run, it was a great 12 years. Now he can go to his home in Hawaii. |

I want Girardi, Mattingly, Long, Eiland next year. I don't care if Pena, Kerrigan, and Bowa stay. |

He's gonna go home to Hawaii and enjoy his money. He'll be drinking Mai Tai and eating pineapple slices all day, f*cking his wife, and bossing his servants. Of course, his servants are probably f*cking his wife right now while he's away. |

I love you guys but.... Is it time for Torre to go? Maybe ~ not sure yet. What I am sure of is that when this team won ~ you guys gave him no credit. When this teams makes it to the playoffs when others had them dead this season ~ he got no credit. When he loses though... he's the problem. Did he make some questionable decisions? Yep. So did Wedge. Only difference is Wedge's paid off because his players showed up and played. Put the freaking blame where it goes... Wang... first and foremost. A~rod and I'm not even talking about his offense. Does he ever dive for a ball? And of course the rest of the team who could not manage a hit with 2 outs and RISP. No way you're winning anything. What Torre does well is that he manages everything... from the game to the players and their egos to management and their egos to the media to the fans etc. He has the most wins of a manager and has brought the team you love to the playoffs every year he's been here. I have no problem with him as manager. Tony LaRussa is a piece of crap. Doesn't deserve to wear the pinstripes ever. Mattingly and Girardi got their education from Torre and either of those choices would be fine. What Torre doesn't deserve is crap. He's given you guys 11 seasons of playoff baseball. Most fans would kill for that. Unfortunately ~ he can't pitch for them and hit for them. So if he comes back ~ I have no problem with it even when he aggravates me with some retarded decision. Clean house where it's needed... get the dead wood out and their contracts. |

It's 12 but I still love ya. On the real, I love Torre. Always have always will, but his in game managerial skills leave a little something to be desired. He's average at best. He is a great manager of men and at bringing guys together for one common cause. He ship has sailed, and now it's time to move on. |

Torre's in-game managerial skills are a complete joke. He doesn't know when to bunt, when to hit and run, when to swipe a bag, when to pull pitchers, when to let pitchers stay in, etc. Worse, he has a loyalty to some people almost to a fault. What he brings to table is he can handle egos better than anybody. That's great, but when it comes down to it his decisions in the playoffs the last few years have really hurt us and some of these guys on this team need a kick in the ass, something he isn't going to do. Does he get the blame for this series? No, but he has to take the fall for the pathetic display in the playoffs the last 7 years. |

12 seasons.... 11 years... do the math... 2007 - 1996 =  :P   And he has made some bone headed moves ~ I've said that. But show me a manager who hasn't. I never said it's not time for him to leave because I do believe that no matter how great of job he's done he might have gotten to complacent. Yankee bigwigs just have to be careful when choosing the right guy for the job cuz it just ain't the team he's managing... it's the team and George and the media and the fans and everything else... |
