It would be nice to have, but when you look at our lefties I'm glad we didn't include one. This is a GOOD thing. |

:lmao: One day the world will learn. Torre will learn. Leyland will learn. The fans will learn. We'll all look back at a time when everyone except Mike Socia thought thought what hand a pitcher threw with was more important than their ability to get a hitter out. |

Especially since there aren't a ton of them in baseball to begin with. I think Torre has proven that if you give him a lefty, he will use him, regardless of his effectiveness. |

I'll be sure to bump this when Hafner hits one 9 miles off Farnsworth in a big spot... |

So he hits one off Farnsworth as opposed to hitting one off of Myers, Villone or Henn? |

Myers was 37 and washed up a sh!t pickup and a Boston reject....Cashman has failed to replace Mike Stanton ...a NON Lefty Specialist but rather a solid Lefty Pen guy ...Guess what asshats...Theo - the BoyWonder found Okijima in the same backyard that Cashman found that sh!t heel Igawa....Stop the BS about not needing a Lefty or there not being any...Boston has one....the club that's gonna roll to the WS. |

Stanton was better against right handers than left handers most years. He wasn't that good against lefties most of the time, but he faced way more lefties than righties because he was left handed. He is the perfect example of managers over managing because of this crap. We say having a lefty doesn't matter because it doesn't. Boston has a good set up man who happens to be left handed....we have a better one that happens to be right handed. So whats you're point? Give me one tangable reason why anyteam should have a lefty in the pen instead of a righty of equal effectiveness? And Myers was comming of a career year when the Yankees got him and everyone except me was creaming their pants to get him. |

Okajima was a fluke though, even theo admitted they were extremely lucky. They never expected him to be more than a specialist. |

So why bother watching? I mean you've been right SOOO many times before, you've obviously got it all figured out. There's a reason people say "if you can throw lefthanded you'll always have a job in baseball." It's because there aren't many who do it well. The Yankees haven't had a lefty out of the pen they could trust all year, and are the best team in baseball over the last 4 months. Now all of the sudden it's a major problem not to have one going into the playoffs? |

You have no point! You say we need a lefty to face lefties. That ends up being crap and everybody knows it. So you then say "We need good relievers that happen to be left handed" just to have something to say. If they aren't facing lefties then why do they need to be left handed? Tell me why they need to be left handed. Thank you |
