DeSalvo gives it up right before being lifted. 4runs in 4 2/3innings and Kay just said DeSalvo averages less than 5innings a start. :wtf:

What was Cashman thinking??? Nieves even sux at defense. Anything that doesn't hit right on his mitt, goes by him. That passed ball from DeSalvo was right down the pipe and off Nieves' iron glove & Leiter's talkin that Nieves got crossed up. Then he misses an easily catchable "wild pitch" from Bruney. Foolips (Great defense and some offense lately) I can live with, but Nieves HAS TO GO... :furious2:

Cano is a feckin azzhole. He jogs out a routine single, then at the last minute tries for two against strong arm Upton and gets thrown out to end the inning. :fyou:

Cano muffs an easy drag bunt slowfoot Nivarro, turning it into a single.... :no1:

 Nieves  bobbles an easy throw home for another error, allowing the run to score and the runner to move up. They're right back in it, 7-5. :-|

Nieves should be released right after this game. He's a useless bag of dogshet and I never want to see him again. I don't care how nice and sweet he is in the clubhouse, make him the fecking towel boy if he's that important in the clubhouse. But never let him step out onto a MLB playing field again.

Never thought I'd see it, but Nieves actually offers less as a player than Bubba Crosby. :no1: He suxs on offense, is slow as molassas and sux on defense. :furious:

Honestly, I would have been fine keeping Fassaro over Nieves as the backup. Cashman was busy at Baskins I guess. :dunno:

In a related note to the Nieves thing. The second worse backup in the AL just got released from the Jays. I wonder how Jason Phillips and those Bubba Ray Dudley shades would look in pinstripes

I'll probably argue in favor of Nieves in the Nieves Vs Crosby debate, but not right now.

:please: Even you with all your statistical wizardry, couldn't pull that off . :please:

I hate Crosby, but he was a decent fielder, bunter, base stealer and pinch runner.

Comparitively, Nieves offers nothing, takes up a roster spot and poses the danger of being our longterm starting catcher, if Posada were to get hurt. Good Riddance!!! :peace:
