Former Yankee Players; How They Doing?

I see that Yankee and Blue Jays former lefty is doing pretty well for the Cubbies... I see that the Yankees were probably right now trading Nick Johnson (at the time I thought that was soooo dumb), but with all his injuries maybe it was a good thing. Can we have this thread going from observations from you guys of players we let go with, short to the point positives/negatives.....For one thing, we got rid of Kenny Rogers and he's just short of miraculous these past few years. Rogers pitches stubbornly and his own pace and drove me crazy when he was with the Yankees. I couldn't wait for him to leave....I guess it was my bad, unless you guys feel, that a guy like Rogers just doesn't fit the Yankee mode.

Mike Stanton is pitching for Reds and not doing too badly even though his fastball was clocked at 85 mph.

Ricky Ledee was recently DFA by the Mets. He’s not a bad outfielder and if he plays he looks like he can hit a little.

What happened to Juan Rivera? I also was watching Tigers and former Yankee rookie, Thames and that guy can hit them a mile away....When he connects they are long gone....

Rivera's on the Angels. He broke his leg in spring training.

Kenny Rogers has always been a good pitcher. He just couldn't cut it in New York. He sucked here and he sucked with the Muets.

Where is Brandon Claussen? ____Strider____ and myself were the only ones who weren't on his dick after that start against the Muets. :peace:

I knew he would be garbage, he didn't have good stuff at all.

I seem to remember pushing strongly for us to acquire Lilly over flops like igawaa. :whistle1: (In fairness, I think Homie was also on this wagon).

I wanted Lilly over Zito and got laughed at. I said they were compairable pitchers and that Lilly might even have the edge because Zito had completely lost it. I was called a stat geek. Well half a season is in the books and Lilly is pitching circles around Zito. Honestly though I didn't much want Lilly either.
