NEW YORK -- Lastings Milledge came to spring training a few months ago with a new attitude and, midway though, a new haircut, trading in his long, flowing corn rows for a more conservative look.

But the outfielder, who is on the disabled list for Triple-A New Orleans, finds himself in the middle of a controversy with his decision to become a hip-hop music mogul.

Milledge, 22, also now known as L Millz, has aligned himself with a rapper by the name of Manny D, a friend from high school, and has even performed on a song with him titled "Bend Ya Knees." The language and the content are, shall we say, a little coarse and clearly not suitable for Little Leaguers.

Milledge has been in trouble before. His attitude caused him problems with some of his teammates last season. And when he was in high school, he had some run-ins with the law.

But the Mets truly thought Milledge had turned a corner this season. Needless to say the team is not pleased with the latest revelation and issued a terse statement: "We disapprove of the content, language, and message of this recording, which does not represent the views of the New York Mets."

It should be noted that LM did this during the off-season and he is the CEO of Soul-ja Boi Records. I don’t see anything wrong in what he did, especially with the Mets welcoming Mota back after his suspension for taking Roids.

This country has a serious problem with overreacting to "naughty language". There are real problems in the world. People need to stop being pussies.

Maybe he should actually do something before he becomes "L Millz".

They should have traded this jerkoff when his value was higher.

When I saw that the thread title had "X-rated" in it and I saw that CM posted in it, I thought his post would be a little bit different.
