If we go into September/October with a healthy Clemens, Wang, Pettitte, Moose, and Hughes, we're winning the whole fu<king thing.

End of story.

That's in an ideal world, but I do agree that our top 5 could be ridiculous. But there's a lot of factors and question marks. I'm encouraged though. I hope Hughes hamstring doesn't limit his performance when he gets back.

Don't forget, Ultimately Bosstown has to lose for us to win and they're tough all around this year. Not many holes on that team... :no1:

Come July (or maybe August) we'll be a better team than them without question.

Better offense.
Better bullpen (we've got some live arms out there).
Better or at least equal rotation.

I agree the Yankees offense is better than the Bosox and with the starters you mention the rotations will be about equal. Where I disagree is in the bp. The Yankees bp in August and September could very well be on the verge of exhaustion. And BTW even with Clemens’ return a red flag went off when I saw he pitched an average of 5.9 innings last year in the weak hitting NL Central and the luxury of pitching to weak number 8 hitters and the pitcher. So the bp could get a lot of work when Clemens pitches.

5.9......thats about 5.9 innings more than Pavanos average , and about 5.8 innings more quality than Pavano when he actually is pitching and not adjusting his maxi pad. A good six innings of solid pitching, will do this staff wonders. especially the pen. If they could get that regularly, instead of coming in after 3,4,5 innings with the bases loaded and 0 or 1 out, they will be fine. too many 4-5 inning relief outings wear any pen out, not to mention the situational scenarios clueless Joe leavers the pen in. He must love graphics and charts when it comes to that stuff, because on pure gut instinct its obvious most here could manage the pen better. Just look at all the extra innings Mo has pitched over the years because of Joe and his stupidity. Bash me if you like....Torre is probably a genuinely nice human being, but his managerial mistakes are the stuff of legend, and if it weren't for the Yankee rosters he has had over the years, his mistakes would be magnified as the don'ts of MLB managing in a powerpoint presentation, instead of swept under the rug with all the years of regular and post season success by the players who worked under him.
