We all killed Bernie for falling off...but Damon has done it faster, and at this point, I'm not so sure Bernie wouldn't have better numbers at the plate. |

Hey, Madam Olga is back with a look into her crystal ball. Does this one get filed with "Jeter will never hit .300 again?" |

We sign all these bats because that's all the free agent market ever has to offer. And because we already have all the offense we need, it doesn't make the team that much better; it just makes the payroll go much higher. Last year we seemed to draft pitching heavily. I don't know if that's how we always do it, but we need to keep doing that. I don't care if the next sure thing ARod or Griffey type talent is sitting there when we pick first, you take an arm. It's the only way to get pitchers these days. |

Pitching heavy is fine, but last year can't be the norm. There aren't enough spots. I get your point, but I think thats pretty extreem. If say Jeff Marquez (first rounder) and Tabata(would have been a first rounder) were available for the same pick there would be no way to justify taking Marquez over Tabata. |

Not all of us... And for the record, I never wanted Johnny Damon either. |

Bubba Crosby was the alternative. If the previous regimine hadn't ignored the farm system and spent so much money on crap then we may have been able to make a trade for a Jason Micheals or an Arron Rowand. |

I was an advocate of going with what we had for another year or two and then getting Tori Hunter when he hit Free Agency, or trying to get Andrew Jones. I wanted no part of another limp armed centerfielder in his mid 30's that cost a fortune.... |
