rotoworld: Tom Gordon is returning to Philadelphia to get checked out after feeling pain in his right shoulder.

Farnsworth for Lieber

We already know he can pitch here.

Farnsworth for Lieber and a decent prospect. Lieber sucked in the sally league last year and you know Farnsworth would be lights out ova there... we deserve better than a straight up swap. :agent:

Better Yet, Farnsworth for Myers

or

Best Yet . . . Farnsworth, Olendoof and Melky for Hamels

Reality check pops...Farnsworth for Lieber straight up and they assume the rest of the contract, or if not, then they have to throw a prospect back too.

:please: Lieber is owed almost 8 million clams himself this year. I'd rather take a chance on Myers. :peace:

We need another starter, but JFL is not the answer.

He eats innings, as well as other things.

With the shape of this rotation, the innings would be nice, but he'll pitch to a high ERA and with how Joe handles his pitchers, I don't really know how much JFL would help.

Torre has a short leash for starters, and Lieber has been really bad the two years he's been gone. He won't be as much of a horse here. I'd want more than just Lieber for Farnsworth. That said he's been good so far this year and we need a guy who won't get hurt(I don't think Lieber is in good enough shape to injur himself) and can actually pitch into the 6th/7th inning of a game.

I change my mind. We cannot survive with Igawa as a starter. This guy does not have the stuff to get hitters out. Tonights game was an abortion.

Absolutely agree. I'm officially on board with getting Lieber in here if he means I don't have to suffer through another of Igawa's disasters. What a horrendous signing.
