That's fairly shitty news considering the hype I heard surrounding Sanchez after the Sheffield trade. Sounded like he could have been a producer for us in the rotation or pen. Who knows if he'll ever be anything now. |

Stick with Hockey. Hammond was good and the other two were tampa moves. There is no way Sanchez would have been anything close to tradeable if he was healthy. Cash made this trade knowing Sanchez was so injury prone(and to an extent damaged goods) because he wanted him anyway. If Sanchez never amounts to anything then the trade won't be a steal anymore, but Whelan and Clagget for Sheff is still a good trade. This sucks real bad because his stuff is so filthy and he was close. Some people figured he'd end up a closer anyway so this might just clinch the reliever path for him. |

Cute rant. Especially the part about me making an ass out of myself Nieves? Come on. Hammond had a 2.86 era with the Yankees. Thas a 154 era+ (save me the geek speach, I know you don't know what it means.) Wright was a Tampa move all the way. Its been commented on by Cashman. Wright and Womack were both Tampa...Pavano may have been half and half. Josh Phelps is hitting .313, .421, .500 right now. The farm system turning aroung, the drafts, the international signings, the trades, and lack of stupid signings/trades since Cashman took over speak for themselves. He's one of the better GMs in baseball. |

Its not? Giambi-George Phelps-600K and good Mussina- 4th in the AL in era not good enough for you? Pavano-George/Tampa/Cash Vizcaino-one bad game and suddenly he sucks? A-Rod-16 mill a year for the second best player in baseball too much for you? Igawa- Fair enough, you got one Proctor- Robin Ventura and 350k for a decent-verygood set up man.... Farnsworth (17 mill...Tampa move - right?)-George/Cash Abreu-What the hell is wrong with abreu. we got him for players that weren't even a factor for us because the FARM is so deep Damon-You'd prefer Bubba Crosby? Mankawictz-Fair enough, thats two and a half counting farnsworth as half PETTITE-Whats wrong with Pettitte?? Name one big time overpowering K guy available the past two seasons. |

Huh Phelps sucks???? For a bench player he has more pop than the average Joe. And thanks to him today, he was an intrigual part of today's big come back win. Phelps has a weakness for outside pitches, but if Donny can work on that, Phelps could be an important player on the Yankees. |
